Warriors is my most favorite series EVER! Artemis Fowl is awesome too.

message 765: by Kristina (new)

Kristina (kristinalawhead) Thanks Carmel!! I'm really excited!

Emily, I randomly read a Warriors book (the 4th i believe) when I was student teaching and one of my third graders let me borrow it to read on a field trip and I really liked it! I found all 6 so I snapped them up, only 2 dollars each! I'm excited for Artemis Fowl, it's one of those books that I've always heard about and meant to read but haven't yet. Its the April B.O.M for another group I'm in so I'll be reading it soon:)

NetGalley is ebook only. You can read them on an ereader though. If you don't already have one, I suggest the Sony Pocket. It is small and lightweight with an e-ink touch screen and works lovely with NetGalley and library ebooks. :)

Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly is an amazing book.

message 778: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Interesting Catie! I skipped it since I heard it was not as good as The Thief. Hmmm.

Jessica both books are great!

message 779: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Heidi - I definitely liked The Queen of Attolia and the rest of the series much more than The Thief.

I liked The Thief, but I remember wondering when I finished it what the big deal was. I kept hearing people raving over the series, and I didn't get that passion until I got to the later books and started to feel the same way.

message 780: by Emily (new)

Emily (yabookgrl1981) I really want to read Jellicoe Road. I've heard such amazing things about it lately.

Awesomevegan (AKA JenReads) (awesomevegan) | 325 comments I got Confessions of a Shopaholic (Shopaholic Series #1) by Sophie Kinsella at the thrift store for 52 cents. It should be a quick, light read between all the heavy dystopia and paranormal that I read.

I think it's crazy-awesome how popular Jellicoe's become in these past few months. When I first joined Goodreads, I'd never heard of the book. For almost a year, I'd heard nothing about this one...but since this past fall, this one appears everywhere! I'm glad one of the best out there is finally getting some popularity!

message 795: by Heidi (new)

Heidi That is because she (Melina) is awesome and we all have pushed her books to anyone who will listen!

My husband asked for Hatchet by Gary Paulsen so I picked that up and grabbed him The Recruit (Cherub, #1) by Robert Muchamore too.
