SOLVED hearing boy with deaf family [s]

this was a fictional chapter book, probably for older children/young teens about a boy whose family was deaf, but he could hear so it was really hard on him to have to translate all the time. i think the cover had a boy on it. i think the title might have the word Sign in it...any suggestions would help, thanks!

Sure it was a son? There's a great book of a hearing couple with a daughter (can't remember if she had a brother) called In This Sign by Joanne Greenberg:

There's many different editions.

Just checked my copy. No brother, I'm pretty sure. And it's an adult/ya novel.
