I am half way through the The Alchemyst. I am enjoying the book. I hope I'm given more information on Scatty. Hecate's life does not appeal to me. I'd like to know who cursed her. I'm getting the feeling that Perry will not be reunited any time soon. Don't know for sure. I will certainly continue with the series.

I have this from the library, waiting to be read. The above description has definitely pushed it to the top of my list.
Oh, Amy...you need to take time to read this series. The reading is not heavy, but it is full of adventure.
From what I read on an author interview, I think 6. The title of the sixth book has not been released.
I just started it yesterday. Haven't gotten too far but I'm liking it so far. So how many books are currently out?
Great thanks. A coworker of mine actually told me she has book two so I'm excited to get through the first book.
I'm actually almost finished with the book (got like twenty pages left). I have to say that I have enjoyed reading this book but for me it's been a really slow read. Hard to get through but I'm enjoying the characters. I loved the Witch of Endor, how she was harping on Scatty like a grandma would. Very funny.
I liked The Alchemyst, it was fast-paced, interesting, and well-researched - the only reason I've not read any further in the series is because I just haven't gotten around to buying the next book.Scatty is my all-time (and one and only) favourite vampire - vegetarian and a warrior to boot.
And the villain is a really cool villain - the hat and suit are excellent, as well as the smell. This thread has reminded me I've got to get hold of The Magician! And do a review of The Alchemyst.
I thought her version of vampirism was an interesting one. Not something I've heard before. And Josh's reaction to her being a vampire was priceless.
I just finished reading The Necromancer it was enjoyable it had been along time since I read the last one. I need to go back and read the earlier books to remind me what I think.
After groaning and moaning through The Magician, The Sorceress, andThe Necromancer I still want to read The Warlock. The books aren't bad and I want to see what happens to the characters I like. Book two and three really irritated me, but I think most of that was my mood at the time. Thinking back I really can't remember exactly why. The books dragged in my opinion, but then most books do in certain areas. I liked the mythical talk. Didn't like some of the characters that I probably should, not unusual. So, I'm going to start The Warlock (when it come out) with a new frame of mind and enjoy it.
I love this series!! Historical figures mix with magic and modern day teens...Awesome!! I've stayed up till 2 in the morning reading these!
I've only read the first in the series. Are the others easy reads? I struggled to get through the first one but did enjoy it. Just took me a long while to read it.
I just finished the Alchemyst. I agree with a few of you that it was a bit slow to read. I liked it in general, but I don't think it will make my list of favorites. Other fantasy adventure stories, like the Percy Jackson series, pulled me in more.
I've read the first 3 Percy Jackson books (still trying to get to the last 2, but I really want to read them). The Alchemyst is the only from the Nicholas Flammel series that I've read. I might get around to the others at some point, but I am feeling a little unmotivated based on my reading of the first one.
There is an additional set of books in the percy jackson series. I forget the name of the first, but the second is the Son of Neptune. It's a continuation of the series.
I love, love, love this series!! I am reading it for the second time and taking notes on characters as I go. There is so much mythological and historical richness in this series and the fast paced action makes every other book pall in comparison. I've had a tough time finding a book that keeps me as interested as this!!
