Yeah that is fine, but it should still be 11 books right (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010)? I know you will want to word it differently, but will we want them to read that many.
This is what I have:"To honour the last 11 years, erad a book published in each year of the last decade (200, 2001, 2002,.... 2010)."

(It snowed ..."
seems fine...if you want you could say also an option is to have the weather dictated on the cover.
Oooh I love the decade idea and the winter idea!An idea I saw in another group is:
" Thank You Moderators:
We wouldn't have this great group without our moderators. As a thank you to them, read TWO BOOKS that were read by a moderator of the group in 2010. The books can be from the same moderator or you can read two bokos from two different mods. REQUIRED: Tell which moderator(s) list(s) you chose from."
I thought that was a good idea:)
Haha you must be in the same group I am in because I currently have The Book Thief and Susannah's Garden set up for that one in the SRC.
Nicolle wrote: "I had an idea that we can read a book which is origionally published in the year of our birth."I second that!
These are all some ah-mazing ideas! :D. These are probably all going to be used in the March - August period, however. Is that okay with you girls?
We already have 9 tasks, 8 of which you all came up with! So I'd really like to send a ginormous "THANK YOU" shout out to all of you :).
LOL! Well you all deserve it. If it weren't for y'all, I wouldn't have any tasks ideas for Mar - Aug :D.
I thought of another...
Read (1, 2, 3?) books where there is a person on the cover with their back to you. Here is a link to help:Backs to the Reader

I'm thinking 3 books. What point range, though? I'm thinking either 15 or 20.Wonderful! Will add it to my list :). Thanks, Meghan!
Here is one that could be used for the 50 point challenge:
Read 5 books that were nominated for the Goodreads 2010 Reader's Choice.
Read 5 books that were nominated for the Goodreads 2010 Reader's Choice.
I like that one, too! Adding it to the list. We can only have three 50-point tasks at once, so only room for one more! :D One more spot for a 100-point task.
To make it a teeny bit harder you could say that they could all be from different categories or you could use it as a 100 point task and make it more books if you want.
Nahh, I will keep it at 50 points, but I will say that they have to be chosen from different categories, and they should tell which category they chose from. Do you think that's good, or too strict?
I have an idea for a task, sometimes I think life in general is one step forward and two steps back. For the task, read three books one futuristic and two historical! for 20 points
That's a really good one! Nice creativity, Jenilyn! :D I will add it to my list :). I am going to make it 25 points, though, because we already have three 20's. That okay?
If anyone wants to come up with some more task ideas for Mar. - Aug., there are only a few slots open. These are what we can fill in:~
~
~
These are the only slots left, so please adjust your tasks to where they aren't over the top for a "low" amount of points. Thanks!
I was thinking for 10.3 maybe two books that were Newberry Award winners? And for 35.2 read at least 3 books in a single series?
Those are really good! We need to find a list to link to for the Newberry winners, though. And for the series, I'm going to say 4 books. That okay?
Okay, nevermind! I was able to find an accurate list of all the Newbery winners since they started giving the award. Thanks for the awesome task ideas, Angel! :D
How about for a 5 point task read 2-3 books that are less than 150 pages? (REQUIRED: No children's picture books.)

@Angel: No problem!
That's a good one, Nicolle! Thanks for filling that last space. Thanks to all of you for giving your ideas. :DDDD
I've had an idea. How about reading 5 books, one each from each of the following continents:
America (North, South or Central), Europe (can include UK), Asia, Africa, Australia
The book can be set in the continent, or the author can be from there.
Books mentioned in this topic
Susannah's Garden (other topics)The Book Thief (other topics)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (other topics)
Like Water for Chocolate (other topics)
Girl Meets Cake (other topics)

Snow, Rain, Sunshine, Storm ect.
(It snowed last night here!..."
Here is what I'm going to put. Let me know if you have some corrections/ suggestions about it...:
"Read a book that has one of the following types of weather in it: rain, sunny, snow."
