Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments I'm in a weird mood right now. When I saw that I had an e-mail for new posts in To Splurge or Not to Splurge, I immediately thought, Splurge, you know you want to.... Like the post is sending me subliminal messages or something. Hehe.

Well, I'm going to be splurging for a book in the next couple of days. Just not sure what yet. Darn B&N e-mailing coupons to me. :-D

message 955: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments Book depository is having a 10% off your wishlist now. I think they sent out an email if you have a wishlist.

message 956: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Thanks AH, off to check my email :)

message 957: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments No 10% off for me and my wishlist :(

message 958: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments I wonder if it is a geographical discount. Sucks when they do that.

message 959: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I rec'd the BD coupon as well. Is it restricted to my wishlist or a coupon I can give away? Does anyone know? I'm not planning to use mine before the expiration date of 9 Nov. So, if others can use it, I'll give it to you, Miss Sandra. :)

message 960: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments You can use it on any book, not just your wishlist. The fine print says "we're not mean." Not sure if it is transferable.

Thanks AH!

LMAO Ames! I'll just have to print my own money if I have to! Ditto! That or we'll have to find those magic money tree seeds. :)

Lis | 4037 comments I've been a pretty good gal lately, but New Release Tuesday was calling very loudly today...

Walmart bargains: Darkness Rising (Dark Angels, #2) by Keri Arthur The Guardian (Dark-Hunter, #21; Dream-Hunter, #5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Lord of the Wolfyn (Royal House of Shadows, #3) by Jessica Andersen

Then the splurges: Drink Deep (Chicagoland Vampires, #5) by Chloe Neill Heart of Steel (Iron Seas, #2) by Meljean Brook Death Magic (World of the Lupi, #8) by Eileen Wilks Angels of Darkness by Ilona Andrews

message 965: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL! It does have a tendency to be pretty loud. :D

message 966: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (last edited Nov 01, 2011 08:03PM) (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments LOL

I didn't add most of those Lis cause I'd already preordered them. Some turned up early too!

message 967: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments I've got to get with the times and just order on line. You guys are great with the pre-orders. Not liking the replacement bookstore experience. Good news, work got me an iPad so I'm taking a few free eBooks for a trial run... But I really want the discounts and not sure where to find them.

message 968: by Dawn (new)

Dawn (dawnv) The only place I find deals on ebooks (outside of B&N coupons) is diesel books. The have bundles so recently I brought
Dragon Actually (Dragon Kin, #1) by G.A. Aiken About a Dragon (Dragon Kin, #2) by G.A. Aiken for like $11.50

the website is http://topsellers.diesel-ebooks.com/e...

message 969: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Nice, Lis. Enjoy it! I love mine!

Thanks for the link, Dawn. I've popped over there a couple of times and pre-ordered a few eBooks. They do typically have good deals.

message 970: by Desperado (new)

Desperado (lethallovely) | 1360 comments Maybe I was looking at the wrong books, but it doesn't seem like Diesel is much of a sale. I looked up the prices combined for the LOTU bundle ( The Darkest Whisper (Lords of the Underworld, #4) by Gena Showalter The Darkest Passion (Lords of the Underworld, #5) by Gena Showalter The Darkest Prison (Lords of the Underworld, #3.5) by Gena Showalter ) on Amazon & BN & both came up to $10.99. On Diesel, the bundle is $13.07 in Mobi & $12.04 in Adobe. But like I said, maybe it's just that particular bundle that wasn't really a savings...

message 971: by Dawn (new)

Dawn (dawnv) Keep an eye out sometimes you can piece them together cheaper but on occasion they have good ones like when I purchased the first four for LOTU it was like $15 for all of them when the price was $5 a book.

message 972: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Pending a couple pre-orders: Drink Deep (Chicagoland Vampires, #5) by Chloe Neill Fate's Edge (The Edge, #3) by Ilona Andrews

And just grabbed: Inferno's Kiss (Order of the Sicari, #3) by Monica Burns Heart of Steel (Iron Seas, #2) by Meljean Brook Death Magic (World of the Lupi, #8) by Eileen Wilks Hearts in Darkness by Laura Kaye Under Attack (Underworld Detection Agency, #2) by Hannah Jayne

Hearts in Darkness b/c it got such good reviews
Heart of Steel - Gonna give this one more go

message 973: by Susan (new)

Susan | 23 comments I picked up Lover Unleashed by J.R. Ward since it came out in papaerback. Lover Unleashed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #9) by J.R. Ward

message 974: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments I'm waiting on Drink Deep (Chicagoland Vampires, #5) by Chloe Neill too, Steph. Dying for it to get here.

message 975: by Lis (last edited Nov 05, 2011 08:09AM) (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Steph wrote: "And just grabbed: Heart of Steel (Iron Seas, #2) by Meljean Brook Heart of Steel - Gonna give this one more go..."

I did find a free download from iTunes Wild & Steamy (Includes Iron Seas #0.4; The Disillusionists Trilogy #2.5) by Meljean Brook that was not the full anthology, but it did have the "THE BLUSHING BOUNDER" by Meljean Brook for free. Which is a short story about Newberry and his wife, if you haven't read it yet.

message 976: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Hope yours arrives soon, Alyssa. Mine will probably take another week or so. :(

message 977: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments I'm fairly sure this is an international event:

The Book Depository ~ 24 hours, 24 books. A new offer every hour.
http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/24

All books are secret until they each go live hourly from 12noon GMT / 7am EST.

message 978: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Thanks for the link Ames, that's 10pm tonight for me :D

message 979: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments It's not advertised on their bookdepository.com page so maybe it's only for you guys.

message 980: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments AH just log onto the UK site. I use both, depending on which site is cheaper and sometimes only 1 site has a particular book.

message 981: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I got that too. I'm keeping an eye out for the sales to see what goodies they may have.

AH, my link is to the UK site address, but my currency is set to US$, so you should be able to do the same.

message 982: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments I didn't know you could do that. OK, keeping an eye on the specials.

message 983: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Yay, I bought the cupcake book! I'm thinking Christmas present :D

message 984: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

message 985: by Literary Ames (last edited Nov 10, 2011 05:08AM) (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments #2 is Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk. Remember the movie?

ETA: Sold out in 7 minutes!

It seems they have 500 of each book.

message 986: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Well it was only $3.87 AUD so no wonder it sold out, though it wasn't me. You couldn't pay me to read that. LOL

message 987: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments So I tune in again at 9A to see what else they have to offer, right?

message 988: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments It's on the hour, every hour.

message 989: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments I like the countdown, no guess work.

message 990: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments 20 minutes until the next offer.

message 991: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments For those that dont know, Bill Granger is an excellent Aussie chef. He likes doing things the easy way but they still taste great.

message 992: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments I had to check what the book was about because the title seemed quite racist -Bill's Everyday Asian

message 993: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments ROFL Bill's certainly not like that!!!! LOLOLOL

message 994: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LMAO!

message 995: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Those books are just flying off the shelf now. 3 or 4 minutes max.

I haven't seen anything I've wanted since the 1st cupcake book, but it sure is interesting.

message 996: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments That cupcake book went fast. Did you get Someone Else's Life? The hardback was selling for preorder for $0.96CAD on the .com site. It was more expensive on the UK site. Free shipping!

message 997: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments No, I would of been asleep when that was up.

message 998: by Literary Ames (last edited Nov 10, 2011 03:20PM) (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Classics and cookbooks mainly. Nothing of interest to me. I don't think it's worth staying up for. Saying that, I bet something sweet pops up and I miss it.

AH, I didn't see that one on the UK site. Maybe it was just .com? Or maybe I missed it.

message 999: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments It wasn't a timed sale. It's still available.
http://www.bookdepository.com/Someone...

message 1000: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments It was on the UK site, but more expensive. I think $1.38 or something like that. - Still available.
