Diggin' all the manly merch there, Miss Cindy. Hey, how are you liking the Archangel Academy so far. Good, I guess, since you've purchased #2. I have #1 TBR.

Received, from Harlequin, my annual Christmas-themed categories/anthologies plus...
And my non-Harlequin purchases..
I'm in a weird mood right now. When I saw that I had an e-mail for new posts in To Splurge or Not to Splurge, I immediately thought, Splurge, you know you want to.... Like the post is sending me subliminal messages or something. Hehe.Well, I'm going to be splurging for a book in the next couple of days. Just not sure what yet. Darn B&N e-mailing coupons to me. :-D
Book depository is having a 10% off your wishlist now. I think they sent out an email if you have a wishlist.
I rec'd the BD coupon as well. Is it restricted to my wishlist or a coupon I can give away? Does anyone know? I'm not planning to use mine before the expiration date of 9 Nov. So, if others can use it, I'll give it to you, Miss Sandra. :)
You can use it on any book, not just your wishlist. The fine print says "we're not mean." Not sure if it is transferable.
Oh god, Amazon, you are killing me! I totally overspent last month but the Kindle bargains...I cannot resist.Uber cheap Kindle books I bought:
Others available include:
, the first 8 Midnight Breed books by Lara Adrian and everything by Karen Chance.Kindle Freebies:
I've also bought:
It's a good job I deposited my tax rebate cheque today. Doesn't mean I'm not hoping for a 12 days of Christmas sale like they did last year. I'll just have to print my own money if I have to!
AH wrote: "You can use it on any book, not just your wishlist. The fine print says "we're not mean." Not sure if it is transferable."Thanks AH!
LMAO Ames! I'll just have to print my own money if I have to! Ditto! That or we'll have to find those magic money tree seeds. :)
I've been a pretty good gal lately, but New Release Tuesday was calling very loudly today...Walmart bargains:
Then the splurges:
I've got to get with the times and just order on line. You guys are great with the pre-orders. Not liking the replacement bookstore experience. Good news, work got me an iPad so I'm taking a few free eBooks for a trial run... But I really want the discounts and not sure where to find them.
The only place I find deals on ebooks (outside of B&N coupons) is diesel books. The have bundles so recently I brought
for like $11.50the website is http://topsellers.diesel-ebooks.com/e...
Nice, Lis. Enjoy it! I love mine! Thanks for the link, Dawn. I've popped over there a couple of times and pre-ordered a few eBooks. They do typically have good deals.
Maybe I was looking at the wrong books, but it doesn't seem like Diesel is much of a sale. I looked up the prices combined for the LOTU bundle (
) on Amazon & BN & both came up to $10.99. On Diesel, the bundle is $13.07 in Mobi & $12.04 in Adobe. But like I said, maybe it's just that particular bundle that wasn't really a savings...
Keep an eye out sometimes you can piece them together cheaper but on occasion they have good ones like when I purchased the first four for LOTU it was like $15 for all of them when the price was $5 a book.
Pending a couple pre-orders:
And just grabbed:
Hearts in Darkness b/c it got such good reviews
Heart of Steel - Gonna give this one more go
Steph wrote: "And just grabbed:
Heart of Steel - Gonna give this one more go..."I did find a free download from iTunes
that was not the full anthology, but it did have the "THE BLUSHING BOUNDER" by Meljean Brook for free. Which is a short story about Newberry and his wife, if you haven't read it yet.
I'm fairly sure this is an international event:The Book Depository ~ 24 hours, 24 books. A new offer every hour.
http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/24
All books are secret until they each go live hourly from 12noon GMT / 7am EST.
AH just log onto the UK site. I use both, depending on which site is cheaper and sometimes only 1 site has a particular book.
I got that too. I'm keeping an eye out for the sales to see what goodies they may have. AH, my link is to the UK site address, but my currency is set to US$, so you should be able to do the same.
#2 is Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk. Remember the movie?ETA: Sold out in 7 minutes!
It seems they have 500 of each book.
Well it was only $3.87 AUD so no wonder it sold out, though it wasn't me. You couldn't pay me to read that. LOL
For those that dont know, Bill Granger is an excellent Aussie chef. He likes doing things the easy way but they still taste great.
Those books are just flying off the shelf now. 3 or 4 minutes max.I haven't seen anything I've wanted since the 1st cupcake book, but it sure is interesting.
That cupcake book went fast. Did you get Someone Else's Life? The hardback was selling for preorder for $0.96CAD on the .com site. It was more expensive on the UK site. Free shipping!
Classics and cookbooks mainly. Nothing of interest to me. I don't think it's worth staying up for. Saying that, I bet something sweet pops up and I miss it.AH, I didn't see that one on the UK site. Maybe it was just .com? Or maybe I missed it.
