a black comedy based in hell, where the protagonist has to get from one side of hell to the other. lots of poopy diaper booger boning humor, and at one point the protagonist meets a boy who he may have bullied into suicide when he was younger. i remember something about pimples and a demon escort. i read this maybe four or five years ago when it was a galley and have been looking for it for a while.

Hello, This sounds like City Infernal, by Edward Lee, although it's a horror novel and I definitely wouldn't classify it as YA...
