I wasn't surprised when I heard about poor Amy Winehouse. A terrible loss, she had a lovely voice, and could have had a wonderful future ahead of her. She just didn't seem to want to be helped! Very sad!!

message 3506: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments I heard about that...tragic, isnt it?

Such a waste of a great talent. =/"

Totally agree. I LOVE her music and her voice. Such a shame, so sad. Another example of how the entertainment industry (amongst others) chews people up and spits them out.

Neko David, plugging your own work would best be done in the thread you've created about yourself in the Aussie Spotlight area as that's what your post is really about. Thanks.

Brenda, thanks for posting up all that stuff about Cadel's victory :D One of the DJ's on the radio was giving Cadel a bit of flack by saying it's not in his 'top 5 of sporting moments' sooo someone rang in and gave him an ear full..It was rather amusing.

message 3514: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments Number One top Aussie sporting moment would have to be John Aloisi's penalty against Uruguay in late 2005? (soccer).
But anyway, well done to Cadel! I dont even follow cycling, but that is a magnificent achievement!

Thanks Laura...there was some controversy on the Today show this morning also...give the poor man his due, he worked for 20 years to finally win this one..he came 2nd the previous two years. He's worked very hard, and deserves all the accolades IMO!!!

Oh...hahaha!!! When my daughter was younger, I used to use gummy bears as a special treat for her...I'd get her a plate of icecream, put a piece of flake, or kitkat, depending on what we had, in the middle, (a tree), then stood gummy bears around the outside..and sprinkled milo over the top!!! It was a desert island! She loved it...lol

message 3526: by Neko (new)
