Leonie (leonierogers) | 3569 comments And we just flicked over to a carols program, and they were singing 'Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...' Sigh.

Leonie and Dale, I also love O Holy Night - I think it might be my favourite overall. And I also love O Come, O Come, Emmanuel - I think I like them best because we don't sing them very often. There are some Australian carols as well that I very rarely hear sung, but they are on one of my Christmas CDs. And When A Child Is Born is a good one as well. Of the more commonly sung ones (carols, not songs), I think my favourite is O Come All Ye Faithful. I think some of the Christmas songs are fun for a bit, but if you're hearing them all the time, they wear thin quickly whereas the proper carols are more enduring. I'm looking forward to the Carols by Candlelight tomorrow night - I especially love hearing Marina Prior, Sylvie Paladino and David Hobson!

Veronica ⭐️ | 2386 comments I've spent the last few days at the shops spending, spending, spending but I think it's all done now. The presents are all wrapped and under the tree. Well not exactly under the tree. With my large family the presents take over half the lounge room floor. I have lots of preparing to do now so will be back after Boxing Day. That's when my holidays really start. Hope everyone has a wonderful time with family and loved ones over the next few days.

Just back from the supermarkets - arrived at Coles at 6am and Woolies at 6.20am - Woolies was ten times busier than Coles - and I'm grateful we decided against seafood this year. The line for the seafood in Woolies was almost to the front door!!! From the back of the store!

Now all the preparations begin (food wise)...what fun! I'd better have breakfast first though;)

I like Christmas songs. I will forever remember singing "Six White Boomers" in elementary school. That was where I learned that Australian Christmas was a touch different.

Neko I kinda dropped off after the reading challenge happened..Things just got a little busy but now I'm out of work and it's Xmas time. Just put all the prezzies under the tree.

Sushi for dinner too hot to cook.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas :)

message 24741: by Neko (new)

Neko And the slight change to GR I don't totally like...I find it's harder on the eyes to read unless it's my Windows 10 that has done it which is always possible.

It actually looks quite nice on my Ipad but it is glary on my PC. Too much white screen I think.

message 24743: by Neko (new)

Neko It's not the white that's the issue as I've had that for years (early adopter of bigger pc screen)...It's the actual text itself is different and blurry.

So, it's possibly GR that have changed their style sheet which has also changed the font,etc...OR...Having Windows10 it's decided to change things around which is always possible. And it doesn't appear Chrome gives you much freedom to change things to your liking anymore (override what websites have set as default).

No it's GR Laura - quite a lot of discussion about it in the Feedback group as they tweaked it to get it right:)

Ahh...Okay! Thank you :) I've actually made a few changes to my own font settings (once I found where they were) and it's made a huge difference as well.

You too :)

Suz | 4436 comments I'm having a bit of a giggle. Couple of book double ups for my girls presents. I'd forget if my head wasn't screwed on! They were so good tonight though, wrapped all of Santas presents for their little brother. I haven't read much lately but I hope that can change ASAP. Happy Christmas one and all!!

Dropped the Brother off at the Airport. He is off on his adventure to Southeast Asia.
