Trust me - if a Cyclone Michael ever starts to head for Darwin then I'd be not bunkering down, I'd be packing my bags and leaving town!!!! LOL!
However if you the real Michael came to town you'd be very welcome :)

It's very hot here too - we've just arrived home from a long lunch and it's scorching outside:( Only showing 30 but I'm sure it's more:)

I think nothing worse than a full tummy when it's hot. Hope it's cool inside for you and your wee doggie.
It's only 27C down on the coast where I live. What am I doing up here?????? lol:)
It shall be December 18th tomorrow ... around the world little Kiddies are poking around their trees and gifts. I miss Christmas as a kid ... sigh .

Probably Christmas lunch on the beach would be one that not many other countries enjoy Melissa:) With the comparison of temperatures between Australia and "overseas", you guys would freeze in your swimmers in the waves on Christmas day:)

I can't stand the heat ... it is too hard to sleep at night. However, when it is freezing it is nice to curl up in a blanket pile :D

The poor guys in Adelaide are suffering with overnight temperatures of 32c at the moment Melissa (Michael and others) - which is the equivalent of around 90c in your temps!!!

Never would have worked in our house. Even as an adult I was first up and woke kids if they were still sleeping. The child in me never grew up.i

Yeah, I'm convinced mum woke us up at 3 or 4 in the morning, so we wouldn't be awake at 4 in the afternoon. LOL
Funny thing is, my mum suffered from some maddening medical sleep thing where she slept at an unconscious level. But not Xmas Eve or Xmas morning. It was like the spirit of xmas ripped her out of bed. She's almost 70 now, and still last year she was the same. Woke me up at such a ridicouslous time via telephone that I could have throttled her.
When I was younger and going to school, she used to say, "Wake me up, when you get up."
I would wake up, and got to the stage, I would tickle her feet and run. She would sit up, abuse me, then slip straight back down into a comma LOLOL
Mum had some type of hymotherapy years later, which seems to have helped a little, but I have to say, when my daughter was born and she slept through from 6pm and 6am in the morning, I was kind of greatful for genetics.

Yay, Dale. I wanna come live at your house. I think the thing I missed most about leaving home was not pillowcase on the end of the bed full of goodies on Christmas morn.
Sometimes, being an adult is so boring:)

What about we, Vics, Brenda. Hottest December night since lord knows when.

Don't you just love family traits!

My g-niece who's three has just 'got' the whole Santa and present routine. Last night she was spinning like a top in the lounge room with excitement.

A little kid could see this. It's indecent exposure! I've called the cops.
I'm no prude but fair's fair!

My sister says the management should kick him out. We are not the only women staying here without husbands etc. It does make you feel vulnerable, but I'm still feeling p***d off about it. It's marred our holiday here.

Yes, I have some photos too but lord only knows where:)
I seem to remember the wind howled! My g-grandmother had a fruit block out back of Swan Hill and on visits as a child, I remember a few red dust storms there. It ruined the crops, of course. But never, ever thought I'd be in one on SE coast.
