Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9989 comments @ Dale, Carolyn, Suzanne, Phrynne, Vicki (lovely little verse, thanks) & Keira, thanks for your kind words.

You know, it helps just to be able to share with others.

We sat, my brother-in-law, my sister (the still living one), my sister's first best friend in Canberra and me, in the room next to where my sister lay, and we chatted about her, we shed a few tears, we laughed a lot and joked, reminisced, and I think we coped better with the whole thing than others who heard by text or phone call.

And my brother-in-law shared some wonderful tales about my sister that I can add to the eulogy.

@ Brenda, I did the eulogy for my Dad too, and I must have done OK because my brother-in-law wants me to do it for Elizabeth.

Anyway, thanks all.

Just got back from seeing the movie Birdman. We went against my better judgement because there is so much hype about this movie. Well all I can say is it has some funny bits, Emma Stone acts beautifully although her eyes get bigger every time I see her and the ending is cute. I did not find it to be the fantastic movie it is being described as. I would give it 3 stars:)
P.S. Hubby hated it.

Marianne I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your sister. I'm sure it's been a difficult time for you all but being able to share memories and stories with those closet to you and her I'm sure goes a long way to helping you grieve and begin the healing process. Been in the same boat - have busy organising my photos - 2 years worth are now all safely saved onto a hard drive, various photography sites, and not just on my iPad and camera :)

Took ages but now I am on top of it the idea is to save as I go

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) Just to get everyone off to a smiley start to the week:

Fifty Shades of Grey
By Pam Ayres

The missus bought a Paperback,
down Shepton Mallet way,
I had a look inside her bag;
T'was "Fifty Shades of Grey".

Well I just left her to it,
And at ten I went to bed.
An hour later she appeared;
The sight filled me with dread...
In her left she held a rope;
And in her right a whip!
She threw them down upon the floor,
And then began to strip.
Well fifty years or so ago;
I might have had a peek;
But Ethel hasn't weathered well;
She's eighty four next week!!

Watching Ethel bump and grind;
Could not have been much grimmer.
And things then went from bad to worse;
She toppled off her Zimmer!

She struggled back upon her feet;
A couple minutes later;
She put her teeth back in and said
I am a dominator !!

Now if you knew our Ethel,
You'd see just why I spluttered,
I'd spent two months in traction
For the last complaint I'd uttered.

She stood there nude and naked
Bent forward just a bit
I went to hold her, sensual like
and stood on her left tit!

Ethel screamed, her teeth shot out;
My God what had I done!?
She moaned and groaned then shouted out:
"Step on the other one!!

Well readers, I can tell no more;
Of what occurred that day.
Suffice to say my jet black hair,
Turned fifty shades of grey.

You read when you walk? I thought you listened to audiobooks whilst walking.. Yesterday we just had the clouds threatening all day with literally just a couple of spots of rain that didn't amount to anything.
