I looked for that on the ap but it doesn't show it :( it's just a continuous scroll but thanks for the suggestion. I can see what you suggested on the desktop version though.

That was very interesting Michael :)

Dog and I have jogged/walked and I'll be off to work in about an hour.
The Paris thing is awful.

Almost the end of the week - lunch with a friend today then tomorrow is the end of the week - whoo hoo!!!

Hope you all have a fabulous day... I hopefully will too moving my girl friend from one small country town to another today and tomorrow.. she is taking the big step and moving in with her man... hopefully the humidity isn't too bad and the rain holds off lol.
Trying to read in the midst of all of this too

Sorry Bette didn't see your post as I ended up going back to bed.

Me too, for awhile there I thought it must have been there before and I hadn't noticed :((

Sound like great bargains Faye. At my local op shop the books are $4 each. still cheap but not $1.

Ashleigh I know how disappointing it is because we no longer have a bookshop have to travel 20 mins away. Would you have a library as they are free, always have multiple copies of popular books, I never wait too long for new releases. My library also order in books that I suggest and I am the first to read them. Plus you save a bucket load of money.Just a thought.

Thanks so much, you know who you are! I will find a way to reciprocate.....eventually!
Now I can return the one I read to the library and I still have a copy for my little book club and my Mum to read.

That is a friend whose a keeper :)

I'm just back from the launch of Bronwyn Parry's latest, Storm Clouds - very successful with lots of books sold, heaps of signings (including mine) then a few of us went to lunch - I sat between Bron and her husband and met a couple of other authors and a professional editor, among others! A wonderful few hours.... the long trek back home again tomorrow:)
I'll post some photos after we get home tomorrow or Monday:)

Woohoo! Feet up now and relax with a nice glass of something to prepare you for the journey home?
Was great weather yesterday Michael, but it's raining here now - pouring in fact - and meant to rain up in this area tomorrow too...so maybe not so good tomorrow, at least starting off :)
I had a lovely policeman help me out this afternoon - left at a different exit to what I entered and couldn't work out where I was! I walked for a bit, then saw a police paddy wagon heading toward me, so I stood in the middle of the pedestrian crossing and waited for him! He set me straight, saying it's a bit of a maze around the area...he was smiling too;)

Just came back from seeing The Imitation Game at the cinema. I cried!!! Also felt a bit ashamed to be British. I did not know the homosexuality laws were not repealed until 1967.

How lovely. Sounds great Brenda!

It was a good story - made me want to know more about Alan Turing - I might have to add a book about him to my TBR list. I think the movies credits said that the movie was based on Alan Turing: The Enigma by Andrew Hodges.

Yes.my husband is currently reading it and thinks the movie may have over dramatised things a bit (surprise surprise). I really enjoyed the movie. I was just horrified by what happened to him in the end.

Good to hear you had a great day and that Bronwyn Parry sold heaps of books. Looking forward to seeing your pics. Safe travels for your trip home tomorrow :)

That sounds great Brenda, were you in Sydney? Must be so interesting to spend time with like minded people and asking questions, and having lunch!
