welcome to our group. You are lucky to live in Scotland. If i could, I would go in a skinny minute, but health problems and finances make it nearly impossible. Plus i am terrified of flying, but if someone paid it, I would be sore tempted. I recently had DNA done, and I do have some Scot in my ancestry.

YAY!!! :)
and you'll love the KMM Highlander books-they are a wonderful series

As an author and lover of all things Scottish I have to say that while I enjoyed the Outlander series I LOVE LOVE LOVE On a Highland Shore by Kathleen Givens, soooo good!

Silante!

The Legend of Lady MacLaoch

Anne I totally agree. Do you know if she wrote the love story between Margaret's little sister and the man she meets when she travels with Margaret to court [On a Highland Shore]?

So I grabbed The Chief

Pale Moon Rider . . . that reminds me of the Loreena McKennitt song about the highway men. Let me see if I can find it...

So I grabbed The Chief

yay! another Monica McCarty lover! :)

:0)
The best part is that she has a zillion books, I love discovering authors at this stage, sort of like showing up to a party and discovering a tray of endless cupcakes. :0)

Welcome Storm. I love Scotland and enjoy reading about Highlanders from any era, so will pretty much read anything I can get my hands on.
A few of my favourite authors are:-
Diana Gabaldon (Jamie Fraser is the ultimate highland hero), Monica McCarty, Mary Wine, Teresa Reasor, Paula Quinn, Jennifer Ashley, Margaret Mallory, Michelle Willingham. Julianne MacLean and Maya Banks have had some recently releases that I really enjoyed also. That's a few off the top of my head, there are many many more.

P.S. I love Julie Garwood's historicals too, she doesn't write many these days but hope she'll go back to them soon

hope your all ha..."
Diana's Outlander series is my favourite, they are very complex and have a wonderful mix of fact and fiction. I've loaned them over the years to many many friends and family and have only ever had one friend that after reading the first didn't want to continue with the series. There is one rather violent event at the end of the first book that is hard for some to stomach but if you continue with the series I think you'll understand why the author put it in. Can you borrow the first from a library, that way you'll get a taste of whether you like it before you spend the $$.

If you like PNR then you will probably love Karen Marie Moning's Highlanders....I can't believe I omitted her from my original list lol!

I read it and it was a good read. There so many yummy highlander stories and I still trying to catch up

I love Kathleen Given's novels....sadly she passed away suddenly a few years ago.

One of the best book I've ever read. Enjoy your reading babe!
Don't forget to try Monica McCarty, Paula Quinn, Michele Sinclair, Diana Cosby, Margaret Mallory, Michelle Willingham, Pamela Clare, Janet Chapman, Donna Grant, Donna Fletcher, Karin Tabke, Laura Hunsaker, Lauren Wittig, Carmen Caine, Karen Marie Moning, Julie Garwood especially Ransom.
Ps: your hubby knows how to tackle you. I'm glad he bought you those yummy highlanders.

Thanks for all the help, there are soooo many highlander books I still need to read. Oh and when hubby bought me those books I was with him to guide him along in what books to buy me ;) And I didn't know Kathleen Givens passed away. She only wrote 7 books?? I only read one book from her and I realy liked it. if all her books are good then perhaps they are worth getting to read!!

Erica, have you tried Donna Grant's Highlanders? They're PNR

OMG yes and they were AWESOME im looking forward to the Midnight ones that follow on so exciting. Quinn was my favorite check out my reviews.
