message 207: by Karan (new)

Karan (kg101) | 10 comments I actually started very early... I remember reading those simple Ladybird books when I was around 3 or 4 - Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Puss'n'boots, Thumbelina, Jack and the Beanstalk, etc. My first "real" books were The Magician's Nephew by C.S Lewis (prequel to the Chronicles of Narnia) and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone when I was 7... still love both series!

Harry Potter at 7! I was preening on the fact that my son at 8 would be the youngest HP reader.
Kudos to you Karan.

Prasan | 6 comments I guess i started of with Noddy (My fav ;-))tinkel (another fav of mine),Archies ,Tintin & Asterix . These are to name a few. Actually i was not a real reader if i can consider in comparison with my friends. It so happen i got books as gifts. Hence some how pushed myself to read. That way got into the habit of reading novels.Tho this happened pretty late may be when i was 19 or so. Now i guess i try to read as much as possible as time permits. I should also admit there were times when i have not read a single book for a year or so.Ken Follet who i discovered of late has got me hooked again i just love the way he narrates a story............

Agree totally with you :)

The fact that a person has started reading is what counts, not the age when one started reading.

message 237: by Amit (last edited Oct 22, 2012 04:54AM) (new)

Amit (thumperbigboy) | 17 comments I can't recollect when I started reading but surely sometime in college and it started with alister Maclean series "night without an end" and a lot of other ones. Then was dale Carnegie series and then I left reading !! Untill "alchemist" happened, and then I started off on paulo cohelo series and before I realised I was writing too! That's what a book like alchemist can do to you. Books can change life, if not they atleast end up changing the way you look at it..
