Me, too - I've been meaning to read this for ages, and there are a bunch of tasks that it fits - so I'm thinking that's a sign that it's time to read it!

I will have to say no to the last three (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies fits the mythical creature, El Cuaderno de Noah is more lust looking at each other, and A Walk to Remember does not look like Mandy Moore is smiling.)

Leigh Ann (leighannflyingonsilverwings) I went to the library thinking I could just browse around until I found a good looking book with a smile on the cover. No such luck! After walking around for half an hour I left without one! Who knew it would be so hard to find people smiling!?

Does this work for smiling? The Grand Jubilee by Suzette Haden Elgin - the guy on the right. When you blow it up, or look at it in person, it looks like a smile, although not a big happy grin.

message 120: by Amanda B. (new)

Amanda B. | 112 comments Ok, the book I wanted to read is not available at my library, I was discussing my reading with a co-worker and she has this book Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers in her office, of course this cover is not the one she has, oh well don't know how to search for the cover she has but if you see it online somewhere there is a blonde girl on the front, it looks like she's similing but it is not really profound so I wanted to see about getting it approved. No big deal I might just look at the approved ones and see if one of them are at my library :)

Is this the cover you are looking for Amanda Redeeming Love ? When you search for the link under the add button it says other editions. If you click on that it will show you the other covers.

message 129: by Madeline (new)

Madeline | 54 comments I would like to use this one, but wanted to double check. On goodreads it looks like she just has her b**** face on but on google images I found a larger image and the one side is definitely tugging up into an evil smirk. I searched "reese witherspoon vanity fair" to find the image if you want to check it as well.

That will work! If you click on the image from the book page the picture is big enough that you can see it.

El Meghan, I would like to read The Children by Edith Wharton for this task - the GR image is pretty small, but I found this on the Interwebs - will you accept that? All three girls are smiling, but very subtly and softly.

I tried to find the actual John Singer Sargent painting the cover details, but am failing miserably.
