Laura Lulu (lauralulu) Denise--enjoy Unholy Ghosts & The Hunger Games--two of my top 5 fave series. :)

And Judithe, Mel & Mette (and anyone else who's my GR friend and needs a rec)--do you guys have Stacia Kane's Unholy Ghosts on your TBR? If you don't, that's the book I've been recommending all over GR the past week or so.

In fact, I already recommended it to Judithe once today. See Judithe, you can use it on this challenge, and for the dreaded "U" on the A-Z challenge. :)

I'm going to go in and check my 5 star books, and if you guys don't have them on your TBR, I'll rec them to you. Give you some choices. :)

Thanks, also, for the other recommendations that have been sent, Rachel, Sabrina & Doborah!! A couple of you recommended the same books (Laura, too!) and I will definitely be checking those out! :)

I have that book on my TBR pile. I bought it with a book voucher I was given for my birthday. I've even got the other two so I can whizz through the series.

Jan (janoda) Allright, a couple of questions, since this is my first challenge ever!

Do I change my original list when I update it with books read etc... Or do I repost the list with changes???

What do you do when you really dislike a book on your list and don't want to finish it? Do you have to switch to another book, or can you keep it on the list?

Thanks!

Welcome to the challenge, Jan.

We prefer you repost your list with your changes and progress, preferably with date finished for each book.

If you can't finish a book, simply change it. Unfinished books do not count for the challenge.

Hope that helps.

Jan (janoda) @Yz
Thanks that helps indeed. I've already posted my list above, so I'll just copy that over when I progress. Should we add links to our reviews too?
And if we change books, do we have to state that? And our reason?
Or is it more a do aas you wish sort of thing....

Yep. Just copy and paste your previous post, put the changes in and repost. If your post was buried deep in the thread, here is a quick tip to find it. Click on your name right after message #, and it will show you all your posts in the group.

Links to reviews or reviews for that matter are optional, but appreciated.

No need to state your reason why you changed a book, though a warning why a book was so bad you couldn't finish it might be nice. Many members go over challenge lists to get ideas/recommendations for books, so that will help.

The idea of the challenge is to have fun reading. : )

Damn, I totally forgot the maximum of 3 non-PNR books rule. Which is really silly of me, since this is the PNR group, duh.
If I'm counting correctly I have 2 too many non-paranormal books.

Anybody know if the following books are actually non-PNR?

Strawberries for Dessert is definitely not pnr in any way shape or form. And I'm 99% sure there is nothing pnr about the other either, (it's a rockstar book) but it's on my list for another challenge, so I can let you know.

Laura Lulu (lauralulu) Mel, I'm only counting 4 on your original list--unless you're also counting Hunger Games. I think--but don't quote me on this--Yz allows fantasy/sci-fi books under the "paranormal" umbrella.

Yz? ;)

Tara | 596 comments Mel- psst- Anne Brooke is a GR author and I believe you won a book by her about a werewolf... That will give you an open non pnr slot... just an idea...

Oh and you can vote for the rest of today for one of the BOM at the m/m group. It's the first poll when you go to the group and click polls.

This was another solid read by Kelley Armstrong. It wasexciting but also quite dark and gruesome. It made me realize that I need more emotional closure than Elena does (my full review).

Laura Lulu (lauralulu) LethalLovely~When There's Nothing Left to Burn, wrote:I think I got it. Just to make sure, this is the shelf with 10 books on each page, not the one with 50 books on each page, right?

Yz the Whyz wrote: It has 50 books per page. There is around 5,327 books in that list. You just simply choose within the first 10 pages.

Yz, Lethal's right. When you follow your directions in the 1st post (explore...books...click genre...type in "paranormal romance" into the search box) you only get 10 books per page. It's still the 5,000+ books, but for some reason, you only get 10 per page doing it that way.

If you do Explore...books...then on the right side, choose "More popular shelves" and and then in THAT search box type "paranormal romance", you get the 5,000+ books with 50 showing per page.

So.....10 per page @ 10 pages worth = 100 to choose from, or 50 per page @ 10 pages worth = 500 to choose from. Which you wanna give us? ;)

ETA: I see the problem, why we're coming up with different results. On the Explore Books page, there is a search box at the top, with a button under the box to choose "genre". That search = 10 per page, and that is what Lethal & I did.

There is also a "genre" heading over on the right on the Explore Books page. If you click that, it takes you to a new page with a search box = 50 per page.

I just made it more confusing--but why would basically the same searches, which yield the same results, have different quantities of books on each page?

The world may never know... ;)
