Full Moon Challenge
Hi Dee! I think I'm confused regarding the levels. If I'm a Moon Strider, does that mean that I have to read 2 books per group or does that mean that I have to read 2 books per moon? It's just that I've seen players posting lists both ways and I'm not sure which is the correct way.
DG - 2 books per moon! it might just be that people haven't figured out what books they want to read for their other moons yet!D.G. wrote: "Hi Dee! I think I'm confused regarding the levels.

Oh ok...then I'll have to be a Moon Walker...most likely I won't be able to read more than 1 book per moon. :)Thanks for clarifying!

Ok I am going to attempt this challenge. I am such a failure at all others though LOL. Also, although "buck" is slang for a young black male, it is also a derogatory slang in the historical sense (meaning male slave with the female counterpart being wench). I just don't want anyone inadvertently thinking they'd learned some new slang and get their feelings hurt if the person took it in the derogatory sense. No, I don't want to be blasted about the state of race relations today, and no this is not a protest statement, just information to let you know there is another meaning for the word (i.e. "young buck"-probably ok, has nothing to do with race; big black buck/big buck-front teeth knocked out). And yes, it hurts my feelings when I get blasted for trying to do good.

All of her books are great in my opinion, but yeah I liked that paragraph in the book so I made it one of my fav quotes. I am so fascinated and inspired by the moon on a regular basis, that just sort of summed up on aspect for me.
s'cool...just wanted to check...Shyloh wrote: "Thank you Dee, I left that one off, I don't have a book picked for Beaver Moon yet.

Harvest Moon - book sets in farm/ranch, character is a rancher/farmer, or has a rural scene on the cover or a Western Romance Delicous Dee, Question-
Do you consider any of this as a "rural scene"?
Oh I've had those last two Abigail Reynolds books on my wishlist for ages! I think I'll have to break down and buy them.
DG, I what to try some Austen sequel/prequel/DPOV, I LOVEEE her books so maybe I'll like some of theme. I'm trying to use from my existing TBR list as much as I can.
I like to read those too...I've read a few and some are better than others...I read two from Reynolds Impulse & Initiative: A Pride & Prejudice Variation, which was really good and Pemberley by the Sea, which started well but I'm not sure I liked the ending. So far my favorite of those books is The Confession of Fitzwilliam Darcy. The author did a great job of filling out some of the stuff that happened with Darcy without making up crazy stuff. One I totally hated was Darcy's Story because Darcy seemed like a wimp.
I have Mr. Darcy, Vampyre on my TBR which have gotten not so good reviews so I don't know when I'll read it. :)

D.G. wrote: I have Mr. Darcy, Vampyre on my TBR which have gotten not so good reviews so I don't know when I'll read it. :)I have read that, and I didn't like it very much, as far as I can remember the main thing I didn't like about it was the fact that Darcy was hardly in it, he would just pop in every now and then! And Elizabeth was a bit annoying, when I really liked her from Pride and Predjudice

I noticed the book is dedicated to Catherine Moreland (which is the only thing I've read in the book and it made me laugh), so I get the impression that Lizzie will be paranoid and it's not really true (but don't tell me anything!)
