looking for a space opera on audiobook

i "finished" the dresden files and while waiting for the next book i wanted to read a totally different genre of books while waiting to find out the fate of the wizard private eye. so i'm looking to you guys, are there any good space operas out there on audible that aren't related to star wars or star trek?

Prophets: Apotheosis: Book One by S. Andrew Swann (start of a trilogy, of which only the first two books have been published).

Pandora's Star and Judas Unchained by Peter F. Hamilton (two absolutely massive books, so be prepared not to read anything else for a couple months).

Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan series. I believe Shards of Honour is the first. Most or all of the series is available as an e-audio download from many libraries.

i doubt it is avalible but E.E. "Doc' Smith either the Lensman series or The Skylark series are some off the first and best ever in the genre IMHO.

I like the Starship series from Mike Resnick. Their all available on Kindle and audible.
If you want something a bit gritty with a detective style Richard K. Morgan Altered Carbon's great as well.

I second the Honor Harrington series. Space Opera / Military science fiction with a very strong female role model. Refreshing in Space Opera which more often has a man as the main character.

The Vorkosigan is also very good (Lois McMaster Bujold is a very good writer - I would read a tube of toothpaste if she wrote on it) but I think the first novel in the series is "Shards of Honor"
