I like the captive/kidnap theme too. I used to read a lot of NA romance. I think they are too sad for me now though.

I know I've basically been a name in avatar presence alone for the past several months so I wanted to re-self-introduce.
First off, Hello and Happy Holidays to all. My name's Jessa and I'm a writer/indie author/avid reader. At present I write erotic / romantic fiction and have self-published three short stories. I'm also working a romance novel which I hope to have out...um...once it's done I guess lol I'm just now recovering from a recent publication and all the prep involved in that as well my computer's motherboard konking out on me several weeks ago. (Go go Netbook power! I now have one and I'm loving it!).
Anywho, hope to meet and re-connect with other members soon!
All my best,
Jessa

Welcome to the group!

I was quite pleased to find this group at GoodReads, with a focus on interracial relationships. My family has been interracial for several generations, so it is nice to see that this topic is able to receive a bit of mainstream attention.

I've been in love with the romance genre nearly (mmph-mmph)years after discovering it at the age of 19. I was hooked after the first chapter and always counted on them to help me to escape the realities of a stressful day at work or in college. While I hope that members here will decide to read my book, Bystander: A Tale of the End of the World as SHE knew It, I am also looking forward to getting some good suggestions for books in this genre. With the majority of a Central NY winter in front of me, I'd love to schedule some reading time in front of the fire.

Arch, while my book has a strong interracial romance component, it isn't strictly a romance...but it is physical book and not an ebook. I am working a few of the bugs out of the ebook file now!

Okay Carolyn.

As of now my netbook is my primary computer and I'm loving it. I basically write and surf the web, so I was happy to find a more streamlined version of the notebook - and relatively economically priced, which was nice. My old laptop was at the point where I had to have it plugged in all the time just to be able to work on it - and even then the cord was loose, so that if I moved the wrong way, I risked my computer just shutting off all of a sudden. Feels odd being able to move around so willingly and carefree. Very new.
Really nice to cross your paths here at the group. =] And I'm happy to back! =D
hi guys! I'm Miss Janelly...I've been reading IR genre since last year. Didn't know one existed... lol but I've been writing since 8th grade and I've self published 5 novellas..I really want to improve my writing skills...and get to know new people. I want to learn more..before I self publish another book :)
Welcome Miss Janelly. We have writing challenges on here. We were supposed to start a uniform writing story. If you want to share a story on here, please do so.

Create a thread for your story in this folder:

You can do that by clicking on 'new' on the right at the top of the list of discussion topics, and when it asks for a folder, click on Member Writing Challenges.
Title your story with your Name, the Name of your story, and that's it's part of the Men in Uniform Challenge.
Does that make sense?
