Introducing....
I grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina and then lived for almost fifteen years in Texas. Most of that was Houston, but four years of living he!! in a small town called Bedias and one year in College Station.
Wow, girl, you get around! lol. Born and raised in Georgia and have always lived here, though not in the same town! I like your approach to IR books. I'm a new writer and I'm looking to have my first book pubbed next year. I'm writing IR from various POV's. My first book is about a bf/wm and deals with social issues, but does not make the main conflict about race. Here's a link to my blog where I talk about the idea for my series. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I can't imagine what my life would be like if I never left South Carolina. Actually, I can and I cringe to think about it. And I posted your blog to my FB. Hope it helps a bit.
Thanks Tara! How long have you been writing? BTW, what is you FB page? I'd like to become friends.Tara wrote: "I can't imagine what my life would be like if I never left South Carolina. Actually, I can and I cringe to think about it.

I have been writing forever. The worst whoppin' of my life was when I got caught writing a fairy tale for my new baby cousin in math class. Didn't get spanked for that but for lying about it and hiding the note from my teacher. If that didn't stop me and my six kids only slowed me down a bit, then I figure nothing will stop me. My FB is ...http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tara-Ne... .
And my fan page is ...

Please go like it as well. I am late coming to that game and this one as well because I did not know that much about social media until I took a workshop on it at SavvyAuthors. I still have a few more likes before I can personalise the URL.
LOL...I just checked and we're already friends on FB! I believe I've already 'liked' your page because I can't find the like button. Check and let me know. Small world, small world. Are you on Twitter too?
Never mind, just followed you on Twitter!M.j. Kane wrote: "LOL...I just checked and we're already friends on FB! I believe I've already 'liked' your page because I can't find the like button. Check and let me know. Small world, small world. Are you on Twit..."
my name's Jenny. is there anyone here who is younger than me? lolbefore i post anything else about myself, i'm wondering if there's a restriction in age for joining this group? i scanned through the entire first 4 pages of this thread but have not seen anyone being younger than 17, which i am, nor did i see any mention of it in the rules page. soon i'll be 18 and going to college, but still.. just in case.
i went ahead and joined anyway. lol just a thought.
Hi Jenny. There is no age restriction on the group. Any suggestible conduct is marked for explicit conduct. Welcome!
okay. thank you, Lady Danielle, for both the welcome and response!then i'll get to saying that...
first, i am in love with love/romance (any and all kinds, whether it be different races or sexuality), ever since i began having a real interest in reading, which started in 6th grade.
second, i've always loved writing and creating stories, sometimes actually roleplaying in real life when i couldn't write right then in my younger days. it's currently my dream to be an author as a first choice career, though i have yet to finish any of my novels in progress (not even close.) i'll be writing short stories, poetry, novels, series, scripts, plays, and screenplays of various genres from romance to action, mystery, fantasy, science fiction, etc.
third, proofreading is fun to me! as a 2nd career choice, i'm going to be an editor of books and other printed material. if anyone at all who sees this message needs a proofreader, ask me any time. i'm on mostly 12 hours a day, though there is the occasional time when i have to stay offline (like a vacation). just message me (or add me as a friend if you can't.)
if anyone wants to be a friend, just add me. i'm more than willing to talk with you.
Hi, Jenny! Welcome! It just occurred to me that I never formally introduced myself to the group. My name is Theodora Taylor, and I'm an avid reader of IR romances, which I also review over at my blog, IRbookreviews.com. Right now, I'm putting the finishing touches on my first IR novel, THE OWNER OF HIS HEART, and it will be available before the end of the year.
I'm new to GoodReads (just now really "discovering" it), so if you want to friend me, that would be awesome. I'm really enjoying the group. It's great to meet likeminded readers.
Cheers,
Theodora
if you need any help at all with Goodreads, you're free to ask me any time, Theodora. i hope i get to read your novel, and i sent you a friend request.
Hey Theodora! Welcome and congrats on your upcoming novel release! Sending a friend req your way. :-)
Hi. I'm Empi from Ghana. I'm an author of multicultural romance with two novels (one being interracial) coming out in 2012. I've been the African half of an interracial relationship before and to be honest the fact that he was white and I was black didn't mean a thing to us. That's the way I feel about IR, which is what I tried to bring to my novel. I'm here to meet everyone, join in the discussions and possibly make new friends.
Hey Empi!! Good to see you on GR!! Congrats on your upcoming release. Is it the piece you let us crit sometime ago? I really enjoyed that story. :-)
Glad to see you in the group! I agree about IRs. It's just people finding love no matter where they come from. I'll have to keep an eye out for your novel.

hey, Rae. I've been lurking for ages, but I discovered there's more to GR than just posting what we're reading (silly me). Yes, that's the one, Chancing Faith.I actually have another coming out in Feb (Most Eligible Bachelor), which is MC.
Excellent! So glad you posted. Now I have more goodies to add to my reading shelf and to hear the good news. :-)
Looking forward to chatting more with ya in the group!

When I was searching for IR (bwwm)novels, and I came upon this group page. I was so excited that I registered for the site to become a part of the group. I am an avid reader and I look forward to conversing with you all about good reads, recommendations and other related topics.
Hey Everybody, My names Frankie and live in London, England.
I’ve always had an interest in romance novels, and in particularly IR romances between BW/WM. I was really excited to find to find out about this group shortly after I joining GR, and I’m looking forward to chatting with all of you and getting some good book recommendations.
