B.J., I was in Amsterdam years ago, but only for a few days. I brought back the usual souvenirs: wooden shoes, Delft (sp?) pottery. I hope to go back one day and spend more time and see more of the city. Lucky you.
Just popping in to say hi to everyone... Hello, hi, how are you, bon dia!

Hiya Debra! Any particular favorites? I'm so thrilled I found this group. It's more addicting the Facebook. lol.

I joined awhile ago but am just getting around to actualy exploring everything.
I've been a avid reader since i can remeber(even won baeball tickets for reading so much!) I only ever read romance/smut books with couple that were ww/wm or bw/bm and i thought that was all there was to it until one day while walking through walmart i asked for a book with a muscular ''light-skinned'' man and a black woman on it and by the time we got to the cash register i figured out it was a white man! LOL! I was so embarrassed and shocked that there was a bw/wm couple and was hooked after reading the book! Reading bw/bm books or even wm/ww werent satisfying. I only read interracial now!
I have to say the one thing i love about IR books are the covers..yum~ i may be only 20 but lord knows there are some covers that will have you ready to change your panties! IR has more than peeked me curiosity.
I lose interests in things that bore me so its kind of hard to find some IR books that dont annoy and/or piss me off out of frustration( just read white christmas by marilyn lee..now u know my pain!)
It'd be great if I could get some suggestions of great IR authors who dont dwell too much on the race than romance because if i read another book where they cant be together because the parents dont like her cus she's black or they go through too much cus she's black! Its so infuriating >_
Hi Karen. Welcome aboard. You can start a thread asking for recommendations, and I'm sure you will get some!

Karen, I hate the race issue too. Everyone is not against interracial pairing and I think that more BWWM books should display that. That's why I tend to write my stories, where it's not a problem.

Yeah, /i think so as well.. its so hard to find any! I spent over 2 hours searching every nook and cranny of Boarders and only found BW/Native american which is great but isnt that rarer than bw/wm? O_O Its hard to find more bw/wm books when I've read everything or the plot doesnt interest me.

True!,I've read some like that as well. Btw, i love your books..i've had a weakness for latin men since high school and its still going strong. Your books are one of the ones i re-read over and over!

I am Keshia Robertson from Toronto Canada. I have read a lot of interracial/multicultural books have my own blog discussing race and men but have always loved writing and now want to put my author work as a priority again. I’m in school for English and Creative writing (now in fourth year) while working on my first print/ebook Deflowering Lily under my real name (four more chaps to go!).
1) I am addicted to watching the Food Network...but lack anything more than basic cooking skills.
2) Blueberry pie is my favorite, My Blueberry Nights
3) My first crush was Zach Morris from Saved By The Bell
4) I am a big procrastinator but somehow I always finish writing somehow.
Plus, I love reading BW/WM & BW/AM books.

Good luck with your book.

I'm Mercedes Keyes - I'm a reader and a writer. I've been reading novels since high school, I've been writing since I was 23. My husband and I currently write as a team, where I do all of the physical writing and he gets to sit back and point, direct and criticize - nothing new there! LOL We only do interracial - and it's dominated by BW/WM.
Lately I've worked to get back into my writing rhythm - after several health problems, menopause and other body crashes - I'm slowly moving back towards the speed I use to write, but atlas, I'll never be as fast and focused as I once was.
I've read some really good books the last few weeks, and some that almost made me toss my Kindle, caught myself just in time, Phew.
I'm African-American, in a happy marriage, living in England, UK - born in the USA - mother of 3 adult children, and grandmother to 5 grandsons, and step-grandmother to five more grandsons and 1 granddaughter - with two more on the way!
I love delving into my 3D graphic art, building websites and writing. That's it in the nutshell!

Thank you - I hope to be able to stay actively apart of the group. As usual, I've over filled my plate, LOL

Oh my goodness Debra, it is kicking my butt! I never knew the physical or psychological affects it would have on me, wow - I can't wait for it to be over!

Thank goodness I was no where near it, we just watched it on the news like most people did. Thank you for the welcome!

Hiya!!! Yep... just did a new art piece depicting the new novel I'm working on. The Fancy was the first, and now, I'm doing a series of it, but to get the mood going, I always do an illustration. You'll have to check it out. I'll upload it at my gallery at Daz... the backend gallery! Nice hearing from you!

The most recent interracial books I've read this year (and can think of) are:
