My name is Erin Lee and I am a budding IR author. My first novella comes out this month and I am super excited and super nervous. Some things about me:
1. I collect American Doll girls and Samantha is my all-time favorite!
2. I collect china and my favorite patterns are Old Country Roses by Royal Doulton and India by Wedgewood.
3. I am a bookaholic and usually read two or three books at a time. Romance makes me swoon, obviously and my secret dream is to turn my husband into a highlander lol.
4. I am a history nerd and daydream about what it would have been like to be a personal assistant to Alexander the Great, Herodotus or Cleopatra. Did I mention I'm a nerd lol.

I'm Lynn. Product of an IR romance. :-)

I enjoy alllll the things: tropey, cliche, angsty, hot...it all has its place.

I'm so excited to see more authors putting work out there, giving us quality and variety.

Two wishes:

1. An increase in the number of contemporary writers in IR romance who write stories of the more laugh-out-loud variety. As an author, I hope to get better at this myself.

2. ACTIVE blogs for fans and authors to interact, promote, review, and chat...something like smartbitchestrashybooks, girlhaveyouread, or coffeetimeromance. If you know of any, please share!

I'd classify myself as an introverted extrovert. Takes time to get comfortable with putting myself out there, but when I'm confident, opening up is easy.

I've been contracted for my first book, an IR contemporary romance. It's in "pre-galley" phase, which means it's allllmoooost ready. I HAS SO MUCH EXCITE. (I'll wait until my cover reveal to go into more detail, just saying hello here).

Hello. I joined Goodreads to broaden my reading from just literary fiction to some relaxing but well-written genre fiction. I tried a few romance novels with no success so far. If you can believe it, I'm xx years old and had never read a mystery before, and only read a few Harlequins in middle school.

But if I can find some with African American heroines, particularly interracial, that would be great.
