I love to write, care of my very odd animals (including one husband), travel, and paint. My blog provides more details about me as an author and my writing: http://www.featherstoneauthor.wordpre...

My name is Adrienne D'Nelle Ruvalcaba.
Yes, that is my real name, not a pen name, so please try not to laugh at it (I know it might be hard though.. my name usually elicits at least one chuckle or "wth" type look). It's a mouthful, but it's real ;-)
If you have heard of Chupacabra, the monster that sucks the blood of goats in the south, please don't mention that my last name rhymes with it! I am well aware of that fact, because people love to remind me of it when I'm in Texas.
Speaking of Texas, that's where I come from (I say howdy, y'all and yonder, but NEVER yee-haw). I currently live in Southern Illinois, so I guess that makes me a So_Ill_Texan :-)
Please don't start any cyber fights with me about the Texas government or those "gun rights activists"; I think they are CRAZY too. I am on your side!
I like to make jokes, but most of them aren't funny. Token laughs will do just as well as genuine laughs... just sayin'
I write bw/wm IRR, but I haven't read a ton of books in the genre. The ones I have read have been all over the place. Some had shockingly low quality and were openly offensive, and some were wonderful. As an IRR author, my goal is to write good stories that resonate with those who read them. I also want to touch a special place in the hearts of WoC, because we have spent too long living in the margins! That sad "sassy black friend" trope can move over permanently :-)

I really hope Texas is treating you right :-)

Been living here over twenty years (in spots), so I will have to say yes!

I found this group via Pinterest of all things (gah! I love Pinterest!).
I am a reader and writer of erotica and erotic romance. I write mostly intercultural and interracial stories. I'm so glad to have found this group! Interracial romances are underrepresented! So glad to have found a group that enjoys them.

Now, about me...
I read and write mainly interracial romance and romantic suspense. But then again I read almost anything. I have an almost uncomfortably large library of printed books and ebooks. But I'm not planning on getting rid of them.
I think that the popularity of IR books makes a big statement about our changing society. I'm not sure yet what that statement is, but I'm waiting patiently to find out.
Anyway... glad to be a part of the discussion.
Toni Black

I also love making new friends. I get my book recommendations from browsing my friends' bookshelves.

Marie, that sounds like a great resource. Thanks for sharing!"
Thanks Xio, glad you like it!

Welcome, Marie. I have to be honest. I get itchy about introductions that are basically self-promos. We like to know that our members want to be an active part of this group other than promoting their own interests.

Ah but can you search on BWWM? :-)

But, there are definitely BWWM in the multicultural and african-american categories! We are also adding more categories in the future and I'll keep that in mind!

I'm happy to be in the group and looking forward to "meeting" y'all.
