My name is Dawn, and I’m new here.Four things:
1. I own a pet bunny and a cat, but no children.
2. I love Bollywood films.
3. I live with my sister, her husband and their aborable twin girls who I love to death.
4. I am a published author, though not of a romance – not yet. I have two novelettes in progress right now.
Hi, all!

Hi Dawn! Welcome to the group. :)
I'm Bonnie Dee and I'm a newbie too. I write full time since I quit my day job in November. It's been an adjustment but I get so much more done now. I feel good about how I've been managing my time. It'd be far too easy to start farting around. I have to keep telling people "I'm not retired, damn it! I'm working from home." Glad to be here checking out this new-to-me forum at Goodreads.
Hi, Bonnie, welcome! I did want to ask: how did you adjust to being a full-time writer? My campus is closing sometime this year so I'll be jobless. I've decided to write full-time and make it a career (instead of my night job). I guess what I'm actually asking for is your experiences and struggles! If anyone else has tips/pointers/warnings, I'd love to hear them, too.
Hi all,My name is Jessie Donovan, and I'm both a reader and writer. :) Four things about me:
1) I lived four years in Japan and a year in the UK.
2) I've traveled to 13 other countries so far (all on a shoestring, of course, the best way to travel!)
3) I have two cats that are 10 months old and a whole lot of trouble!
4) I love hiking in Mt. Rainier National Park (in WA, where I live)
And let me say I'm glad that I stumbled upon this group. :) I've lived and/or taught in a very diverse area most of my life, and it always amazes me on the lack of diversity in romance books. As such, I started to write my own paranormal romance series that has characters from different countries and takes place in various spots in the world! :)
Anyway, looking forward to seeing everyone around!

Welcome, Bonnie.
Welcome, Bonnie.

Oooh, really? Where? I lived in Nagoya for a year and then three years in Otsu, Shiga (where that huge lake is in Western Japan.)
Xio Axelrod (xioaxelrod) | 2 comments Hi everyone! I'm not exactly a new member, but I neglected to post an introduction when I joined. My friend Kim Golden invited me to this group a while ago. I am a writer as well, though very new to it and not yet published. (Later this year!)
I look forward to lurking more, as well as participating in the wonderful discussions that happen here.
Glad to 'meet' you all!
Hi, I'm Tea. I joined the group (not too long ago, but can't remember when) because I don't get to read enough IR romance (particularly since I tend to look for "Blasian romances"). To keep myself from banging my head while I continue to search, I've written, but not
Oh! Looks like I missed your second post, mrsbookmark. Not sure if this is the right place to say it, but I write mostly fantasy and sci-fi. However, one of the four pieces I've got going now (in varying stages) is a contemporary that straddles the line between Romance and Chick Lit, and another is probably best described as New Adult, as the MC is at university.
Hello, my name is Nadine and I'm new to the group. Multicultural/interracial and mafia romance are some of my favorite genres to read and when the two are combined then I'm hooked. But I love to read and as long it's a good story I will read any genre of romance. I just read, Dangerous Beauty: Part One: Destiny by Michelle Hardin and loved it. I saw that the author was a member of this group and that how I knew about this group. I'm excited to see what good books I may have missed in my readings.
I'm sitting here at 6-something AM drinking coffee (insomnia is a bitch) and decided to join this group. I'm actually not a new member. I left in 2010 for REASONS. Reasons I can't really recall which means they were probably asinine reasons that made total sense in my 20-year-old, prideful brain. Four years later and four years wiser (although not taller, since it's still 4'10 FTW over here) I find myself obssessed with IR in ways I never was years before (my IR shelf has grown leaps and bounds). I remember enough about this group that I'm positive it will help me scratch my itches-not to mention this group seems hella active in this freaking ghost town called GR. So here I am....again.I'l reintroduce myself. My name is Ammarylis (but you can also call me LethalLovely, LL, Lethal or Aimes). I'm 24-years-old. I'm an Aquarius. I'm Black on my mom's side and Tahitian on my dad's. I'm almost finished obtaining my Bachelors degrees in English and Sociology and am looking forward to getting my Masters. The Scots/German fiance I had when I joined in 2010 is long gone, although unfortunately not forgotten (damn you, mutual friends! *LL shakes fist ire*). I'm currently in a happy relationship with a 6'2 blonde who is my complete opposite in most ways (he likes yoga and nasty ass kale/wheatgrass smoothies and I live for cheeseburgers and get winded walking down the stairs). But it works well enough that I continue to resist the urge to slap the hell out of him every time he puts coconut water in my water bottles instead of Juicy Juice. I'm starting to ramble on so I'll leave it here. I'm sure you have an idea that "that heffa's got issues" from what I've already written. ^_^
