My name is Dave. I'm a White Male. I am a new writer, and an old artist. My primary interest is Romantic/Soft Erotic Literature, Novels, Novelettes, and Short Stories relating to love and romance between White Males and Black/Mixed Race Females. I am working on a Novel now, but find myself challenged particularly with portrayal of soft erotica from a females and especially from a black females point of view. I think I can write romance ok to appeal to most, but I need some education about how a females mind thinks (at least I can admit I don't know ;) in regard to strong love scenes and erotic content.
I was in love with and loved by one mixed race/black woman. It didn't work out for several reasons, I carry the pain of that loss to this day, and likely for the rest of my life. I write dedicated to the hope it is possible. As I prefer black women aesthetically and romantically.
I would welcome any discussions or feedback, on the subjects outlined above.
Dave
Hi Dave and Welcome! You can start a thread under the Author/Writer's Corner to ask your question.

Welcome Dave. I can appreciate writers who admit their limitations and are willing to ask for help. I am just such a writer. I'm about to publish my first interracial erotic romance and I've found myself in the same predicament as an African American woman trying to write believable Caucasian males. If you would be willing to read my story and give me pointers on the male POV, I'd be willing to read yours for female POV.
I'm going to have to check renderosity out. It looks like a fun place to create images of your characters.
Welcome to the group, and have fun!

That sounds great, I can give you my white male POV, although I don't know how typical it may be. I take some of my greatest pleasure in putting her pleasure first, as there is nothing more beautiful than a woman in ecstasy (hope that not TMI).
I do have a pretty firm understanding of the average white male in general though, and perhaps that will help.
I am working on the end of my first chapter, coming to the first love scene. I think it will surprise. It's very much from my POV, softened for female readers.
I would be delighted to be of help to you, and I believe you can help me as well. Send what you have when you are ready, I will send you mine ASAP, should be within the next couple of days.
Thanks so much for thinking of me.
btw, the next artwork I will be doing is of monica, one of 2 female leads in this first work, she is an extraordinary café au lait, black woman. Producing art of my characters helps my process, it binds me to them in ways my "minds eye" doesn't.
We are glad to have authors on the group, as well as readers. We have sections to discuss writing craft and I ask that you keep a lot of that conversation on those instead of in the introductions thread. I won't delete the above comments, but if things start getting cluttered up with this kind of posting on the thread, I will start deleting them. Thanks!

Sorry Lady D. I forgot what thread we were in. I'll try not to let that happen again. :)

LMK.
Dave
I'm giving you all a nudge to keep this introduction thread clear of in depth chatter, so you don't have to delete your comments. Just for future reference.

Again, welcome!"
Mercedes, we both have MS roots. I'm going to follow you!

Dave, I am going to ask you not to promote your other group on the introduction thread. You are welcome to post a promo in the promotion section. I deleted your post. Thanks!

I haven't read that one yet Laura. It just so happens I've been looking for something else of hers to read. Thanks for the heads up! :)

Hi,
I am new to the group and look forward to participating and learning.
Okay, four things about me:
1. I am a voracious reader of different genres both fiction and non-fiction
2. I love poetry and love to combine it with things I write.
3. I have just had my first short story published by Romantic Shorts, an online publisher of romance in July of this year and it was interracial as well as the woman was older and the man younger.
4. I love singing and writing. Both are etched in my heart.
Ciao,
Patricia
