Oh I am so in LOL. :)I literally have been saying for over a week that I was going to slow down on starting more challenges but how could I NOT do a seconds challenge? I have a bunch of series challenges and a firsts challenge. It is a perfect match.

I'm definitely in and as chance would have it, I just started reading Doomsday Can Wait (Phoenix Chronicles #2) this morning. Hmmm ... just had a thought. If your in the first challenge, you could read the first book of a series in one month and continue with the second in the next month. If you can wait that long to continue the series that is. ::grin::

I'm going to try to do that with mine too, AV. #1 and #2 in same month. Would certainly help me finish some of these series faster if I read more than one (per series) a month. :)

This worked out great for me as I read book one for the Firsts challenge and here is a place for the second. I just finished the third in this seris and am starting the fourth. Since there are only five book in the series so far my goal is to finsh all five before end of month.

Looks like you need challenges for thirds and fourths. Judithe and I were chatting about this in the "Firsts" thread LOL.
I think maybe "Third Wheel" or "Three's A Crowd"?
I don't know what we would call fourths...

Yes, please! Please, please, pretty please! I need to get caught up on some series. I need that extra push! I'm voting for "Three's A Crowd" and "Four's A Party". These names kinda remind me of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series: One for the Money, Two for the Dough, Three To Get Deadly, Four to Score etc.Gotta love you girls, you're giving me the help I so desperately need! :)
AV, I hope you like Hawksong. I loved it! Danica is so brave and Zane so patient. Ugh, I haven't read Snakecharm yet. That's another one to add the ever-growing list but I'm worried it won't live up to the greatness that is Hawksong. I'll have to bite the bullet at some point but I'm sure curiosity will get me to pick it up eventually.

Time to Go Back for Seconds! Read book #2 for those series that, for whatever reason, you've only read #1 so far. Read one book per calendar month.
August Doomsday Can Wait, Lori Handeland, 8-8-10 Much better than the first book in this series. I almost didn't pick it up because the first one left me feeling ambivilent. The third book isn't at the top of my TBR pile, but it's definitely in the stack somewhere.

I want to finish it before the movie and before I leave on my trip with my bf to upstate New York for a family reunion. The Kiesh'ra is on my Kindle which I plan to bring with me. Eat, Pray, Love is in paper. I would rather not bring a paper books too. I will only be gone about a week... but I have a couple other paper ones I want to read this month. I may be able to put a dent in that Kiesh'ra series during the trip... and the 6 hours car ride, both ways so 12 hours total. For some reason reading on my Kindle in the car doesn't bother me like reading from a book does... probably because the font is bigger. :) Anyway ya that series will count for several challenges so I need to get back to it soon!

I really liked Unknown. The last one had been left on a bit of a cliffhanger (as Rachel Caine likes to do) so I felt like I'd been waiting ages for it. I just don't like that you're waiting for the third one to find out what happens next!

Also read: Blood Cross, Faith Hunter, 8-3-10 2nd in the Skinwalker series. It will be interesting to see where Jane's journey takes her.
Death Blows, DD Barant, 8-12-10 Criminal profiler stranded on alternate Earth where pure humans account for about 1% of the population. Great follow up, already eagerly awaiting the third.
Seraphs, Faith Hunter, 8-1-10 I'm not as big a fan of Hunter's Rogue Mage series as I am of her Skinwalker series. I am curious about where she is going with this though.
Changeless, Gail Carriger, 8-19-10 As soon as I started, I remembered how much I enjoyed the first book. I'm not quite sure why it took me so long to pick up the second book, but I'll definitely be buying the third when it comes out in a few weeks. Additonal note: Not happy with the major cliffhanger ending, but I won't repeat my rant here.

It was pretty good, I really enjoyed it. I noticed Steph gave it 5★ also.
Great story. Vlad's comment about the villagers with torches was hilarious, I hope we see more of him in the future.
