The Never Ending Series Challenge

So here's a challenge that you can really pace yourself with. Some series like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series are super long while other are just getting started and are fairly short. You pick which series interests you and then read it. Just keep track of it here. If a new book comes out at a later date just add it on. Why is this challenge never ending? Because once you get to the end of one series start up another. Have fun!

There are to be 13 books in the series until Armstrong gets another deal...I hope it isn't the end! I love them!
That would be fun. I'm curious as to whether we should include Men of the Otherworld (more werewolves - my personal favorites) and Tales of the Otherworld too?

5. Veil of Midnight
6. Ashes of Midnight
7. Shades of Midnight
8. Taken by Midnight
9. Deeper Than Midnight

I'm reading Bitten right now. There are several authors I follow. Whenever they add to their series, I read it.
Laurell K. Hamilton 19 so far
Charlaine Harris
Patricia Briggs
I'm a Briggs and Harris fan too. Hamilton is on my TBR pile of books I own. I'd join the TBR challenge, but I probably have a few hundred books lying around and I'd never be able to complete it.
Lisarenee wrote: "Alyssa wrote,"Yeah, we should! I think it'd be cool to see some more CLAY!!! Man, I think I have an obsession...."I think we need to add him to the list of Hottest Male Leads. LOL"
OMG definitely. he's REALLY...whoa. Jst bought 4 and 5 today in of Otherworld series since I already have the first three and the sixth. I was so stupid to buy 3 and then 6. I rushed off to the bookstore to buy 4+5, all the while thinking ILY Kelley Armstrong.
I just finished Bitten. It took a little getting into but at the end I loved it. I think I hear Stolen calling my name and I may be in for one more never ending series.
Yes, and sounds like you got bitten.*smirk* I remember that call all too well. It's quite seductive and hard to resist. LOL
One series I love but have a hard time finishing: The Breeds. I just have so many books to read. So I'll add it here. Breeds

Holy cow! That list was a lot longer than I thought. Uhmm...I am kinda hoping that these might be short books because I am done for if they are 1,000 pages!
Trisha, I think that if you read all these books then you'll surpass 1000 pages by far. Like I said before, good luck. You'll need it :D
Katherine wrote: "Katherine wrote: "Christine you are way ahead of me. LOL I'll have to try and catch up. "LOL! I'm determined to finish with the McKettrick's soon, but it may be awhile before I get to the Stone Creek & Montana Creeds series.
Lisarenee wrote: Christine & Katherine,

The McKettrick series is a mixture of historical & contemporary. I loved the first four of the series, they're historical... High Country Bride, Shotgun Bride, Secondhand Bride & McKettrick's Choice.
I also liked the Quade series, which is also historical... Yankee Wife, Taming Charlotte & Princess Annie.
Those are the only 2 series I've read so far.
Thanks, Christine. I'll try the McKettrick's series once I get my library TBR list down.Trisha, I haven't heard of Anne McCaffery. My daughter loves dragon books. Are McCaffery's tween/teen friendly or do they have some more mature content?
The dragonriders of Pern are definitely more for adults, they wouldn't be found in the YA section. There is sexuality, strong language, murder and violence. You would definitely have to proof-read one and decide if they were ok before she read them. I have not started the Dragonlance series, so I can't speak for that one.
Love this challenge because all I read are series :) So I'll just work my way through all the series I own right now. I'll start off with the best series of all time ;)The Lords of the Underworld by Gena Showalter

Christine, I just finished Infinity - the first of the Chronicles of Nick. FYI The Dream-Hunters intertwine with the Dark-Hunters.
Lisarenee wrote: "Christine, I just finished Infinity - the first of the Chronicles of Nick. FYI The Dream-Hunters intertwine with the Dark-Hunters."I'll have to read that too, I love Nick Gautier! I find the whole series reading order confusing! I see The Dream-Hunters listed as part of The Dark Hunters series & also as on it's own. I'll try my best to read the books in the right order, because I hate skipping around! lol
Christine, I read them all last year and I agree getting the order down is confusing. Since I read them Kenyon actually put an order on her site. I'm not sure if she included the Dream-Hunters in the order. Also, to confuse matters more she occasionally writes a book that starts at an earlier point (like Infinity), then the last book. A group of us were joking that we needed a time line to keep track of the order the books take place in. If I was reading them again I'd write them all down that way, just to keep track of it all. This is actually one series where I can't wait for the next book to come out.
Lisarenee wrote: "Christine, I read them all last year and I agree getting the order down is confusing. Since I read them Kenyon actually put an order on her site. I'm more or less going by her reading order & by FictFact.com. The list on Fantastic Fiction includes the related books & that's what had confused me. I don't have all the related stories, so I'll just read the ones I come across.
I did notice that Infinity was the beginning of Nick's story... it sounds interesting!
Christine, It is but I would read the other books first and when you get to the Story where Nick and Ash have a falling out then go and read the Chronicles of Nick. I think it's better that way.
I love books that come in a series! and have read a bunch of series. Ones I'm in the middle of I'll put now and then maybe add on when new books in series come out that I've already read.Regan Rielly series by Carol Higgins Clark

Shannon, I have yet to read any of Carol Higgins Clark's books. I see her books everywhere. One of these days I need to check her out. What kind of books does Tess Gerritsen write? I haven't heard of her before.
Lisarenee wrote: "Shannon, I have yet to read any of Carol Higgins Clark's books. I see her books everywhere. One of these days I need to check her out. What kind of books does Tess Gerritsen write? I haven't heard ..."Well I do want to say with Carol Higgins Clark's books I have been reading them in order and they have gotten much better as they have come along. Some of the first ones are a little rough. But over all love the series. Now Tess Gerritsen- she is one of my favorite authors- she was a physician and stopped when she had children and started writing novels. Her books are mostly medical suspense/mystery. Her Rizzoli/Isles series has been made into a tv series on TNT (I think). I don't watch much tv so I haven't seen it.
I'm really excited about this group! I love reading books that come in series. I've read a ton of series. I'll add on as new books come out in the series I've already read- Let me know if that is right (don't want to mess up the group :))
Shannon, You've got the right idea. Add new series in posts when you realize that you're going to read them, and add more books on to series you've already started reading when you find out about them. I like them all in one spot so you don't constantly have to look them up.Thanks for the information on Tess Gerritsen. I'll have to try her books.

This is a great challenge for me because pretty much all I read is series, but never have time to stay current with them becuase I read so many. I think I will choose a couple series to finsh before I start any new series (I am such an addict, this will be hard)
I will start with these....I have already read many of some of these and one or two of others.... these are the ones I want to finish first. I am listing all the books in the series even if i have already finished the books.
