I just finished reading Threads of Grace by Kelly Long! I loved going back to visit in Pine Creek. I would love it if there were another in the series... maybe about Violet?
I've read and enjoyed all three books that the last four people mentioned! Barbara, I'm hoping there will be a story about Violet as well. Her storyline felt a little sidelined in Threads of Grace.I just started reading Annie's Truth by Beth Shriver, our March group read.
I started reading "The Keeper" by Suzanne Woods Fisher yesterday when we lost power in a big snow storm we got. I'm finding it harder and harder to get time to read. I've been away from Goodreads for a long time and hope I can get back to it. The kids, daycare, and knitting along with every day life are keeping me busy busy.

I just started The Hallowed Ones by Laura Bickle. It's a YA supernatural novel with Amish characters. I'm interested to see how a YA author takes on the Amish and their traditions. I guess I'll see he good it is and let you guys know!
Laura wrote: "I am in the middle of Sisters of the quilt the complete trilogy by Cindy Woodsmall. Really good."Laura,
I LOVE that series! I cried through the whole thing. Although heart wrenching, I'd have to say it's my favorite Amish Series. Cindy Woodsmall is an excellent author and I've read all of her fiction books. So far, I have not been disappointed.
Let us know what you think. Happy reading!

I've just started reading Whispers of a New Dawn by Murray Pura.
Just finished the sisters of the quilt trilogy. Excellent!! Highly recommend for any Amish reading fans.
I just finished Threads of Grace today. It was decent. I feel like the books have deteriorated since Sarah's Garden.

I am also reading A Simple Winter by Rosalind Lauer. i haven;t read it in awhile so am only 19% done. I will pick it up again someday.
Last night I just got done reading Plain Proposal and now i'm starting on The Thorn, looking forward to reading the whole series, I have all 3 books!
Natalie wrote: "Daybreak by Shelley Gray is $1.99 on Kindle. I will start it soon."Thank you, Natalie. I just got it.
Phyllis wrote: "I just finished Plain Fame by Sarah Price and really enjoyed it. Now to get to the other 2."Good to know this is a good one. I have it on my kindle, just need to get to it. I'm currently reading Pastures of Faith, the 3rd book in Sarah Price's Amish of Lancaster series, and enjoying it very much.
I just finished Bathsheba by Jill Eileen Smith and The Fisherman's Wife by Dianne G. Sagan. They were decent.
I am reading Home Run by Travis Thrasher and it is really good so far. I am about 1/3 of the way through it.
I am currently reading "The Amish Way" by Donald Kraybill. My college professor bought my "Speaking Amish" book and gave one to Mr. Kraybill, and Mr. Kraybill gave me a free copy of his book in return!"The Amish Way" is not fiction, of course :-). I am just starting the book, but I am confident that it will be a very insightful view into the Amish culture. Mr. Kraybill has studied the Amish for years and probably knows more about them then the Amish do themselves :-).

This is very interesting! I majored in anthropology in college and I did a term paper over Amish culture for my ethnology class, using one of Mr. Kraybill's books as a source. (From Plows to Profits). He's a great researcher and I definitely look up to him.

Blessings, Tina
I finished The Heart's Frontier and Lydia's Heart today. They are good. I am 68% done with A Plain and Simple Heart. It is good.
Does anyone know A Cowboy at Heart, the th9rd book in the Amish of Apple Grove series, is going to be released on Kindle? FYI: On of them was $2.24 today instead of $2.99.
One of those books is now $2.51 on Kindle. I guess they will be put that one at full price again so get it while you can.
I just started The Promise of An Angel by Ruth Reid. I'm 67% done. It is good. This the the first time I've read this author.
I just finished Plain Proposal by Beth Wiseman. I've been slowly making my way through the entire series since we read the first one back in February. I really enjoyed them! Now I'll have to read the Canaan series to find out what happens next!
I just finished Brush of an Angel's Wings by Ruth Reid. It is really good. By the way, it seems like I noticed our book for next month, Katie Opens Her Heart by Jerry S. Eicher, is only $2.24 on Kindle right now.
I recently finished Rebecca's Rose and Miriam's Quilt by Jennifer Beckstrand. Both are good. Highly reccomended.
I just finished Chloe's Revelation. It is good. REad the others first because it's the thrid in a series./
I read The Silence of Winter, book #2 in Wanda Brunstetter's serialization. Has anyone read this? If so, what do you think of the serial format? My review:

I am reading Pennsylvania Patchwork by Kate Lloyd. Kate wrote Leaving Lancaster about a young woman from Seattle who discovers that her extended family lives in Lancaster County and is Amish. Her mom's kept this from her all of her life. Holly and her mom travel to meet her grandmother and the rest of the family. An interesting mother/daughter/grandmother relationship story with well developed characters. Pennsylvania Patchwork begins where Leaving Lancaster ended and releases June 1. I'm fortunate to be marketing manager for this title so I have an early copy. I will be posting a giveaway for the book in the near future.

Carole: I am not too crazy about the serial format, especially since my memory is not very good any more. I have already decided to wait until all installments have been released, and then I will read them all at one time.
I just read two Amish romances by a new author, Melanie Schmidt, Loving and Letting Go and Forgiving and Learning to Love on my Kindle. These are really good and are the first two in her series A Perfect Love. The bad news is since it just released two days ago, it's only on Kindle.
