I just finished reading Threads of Grace by Kelly Long! I loved going back to visit in Pine Creek. I would love it if there were another in the series... maybe about Violet?

I just started reading Annie's Truth by Beth Shriver, our March group read.

That is a great book and a great series! I hope you find the time to enjoy it like I did!
I just started The Hallowed Ones by Laura Bickle. It's a YA supernatural novel with Amish characters. I'm interested to see how a YA author takes on the Amish and their traditions. I guess I'll see he good it is and let you guys know!

Laura,
I LOVE that series! I cried through the whole thing. Although heart wrenching, I'd have to say it's my favorite Amish Series. Cindy Woodsmall is an excellent author and I've read all of her fiction books. So far, I have not been disappointed.
Let us know what you think. Happy reading!

Brittany, this one sounds really interesting! I don't read a lot of supernatural/fantasy novels, but it's always intriguing to see a new genre being melded with Amish fiction.
I've just started reading Whispers of a New Dawn by Murray Pura.

I read that a few weeks ago. I agree with you; it was really interesting. Courting Cate, that is.

Thank you, Natalie. I just got it.

Good to know this is a good one. I have it on my kindle, just need to get to it. I'm currently reading Pastures of Faith, the 3rd book in Sarah Price's Amish of Lancaster series, and enjoying it very much.

"The Amish Way" is not fiction, of course :-). I am just starting the book, but I am confident that it will be a very insightful view into the Amish culture. Mr. Kraybill has studied the Amish for years and probably knows more about them then the Amish do themselves :-).

This is very interesting! I majored in anthropology in college and I did a term paper over Amish culture for my ethnology class, using one of Mr. Kraybill's books as a source. (From Plows to Profits). He's a great researcher and I definitely look up to him.

I have finished For the Love of Eli...very good, enjoyed it very much...Eli is a sweet heart and grabs a hold of your heart....
Blessings, Tina

I just finished Plain Proposal by Beth Wiseman. I've been slowly making my way through the entire series since we read the first one back in February. I really enjoyed them! Now I'll have to read the Canaan series to find out what happens next!

Carole: I am not too crazy about the serial format, especially since my memory is not very good any more. I have already decided to wait until all installments have been released, and then I will read them all at one time.
