I read this children's/young adult book in the late 80's or early 90's. I remember there was a maze and there were children who were in the maze and trying to escape. They find a way to climb the walls of the maze and walk along the top of the maze walls for a long distance. I don't remember what else happens. I thought this book might have been The Maze in the Heart of the Castle, but from the description, I am doubting this to be the case, though I think I read that one as well. I do know that it is NOT The Maze Runner. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks!

maybe The Silver Chair by CS Lewis? It's got something that I'm remembering as being very close to what you describe. The Silver Chair
The only Narnia story I've read is The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I really should read the others! Thanks, though!
I decided to reread The Maze in the Heart of the Castle by Dorothy Gilman, just to make sure it isn't the book I'm looking for. Well, I'm glad I reread it, because it is the right book! I wouldn't have guessed that it was based on the description, but I had this nagging feeling that I should at least take a look at it. Thanks!
Sarah, Glad you found it and thank you for letting us know, and thanks for moving the thread and shelving the book.
