I wanted to clarify something, for the last section, we need to read the original series, NOT the spin-off, right? I'm still trying to find an original I haven't read (though happy to re-read my first selection)...more happy hunting!

I need to find me a different series that's ending in 2011--I have the Wolves of Mercy Falls listed, but I truly have no desire to finish that series. So if anyone's heard of anything ending in 2011, let me know--UF, YA or straight fantasy, preferably. :)
I'll poke around my lists and see if I can find one for ya. :)
LOL! That'll work. So far, the only add'l series I've found ending with the 2011 release is "Wicked Lovely" by Melissa Marr. Last book = Darkest Mercy. I'll keep looking though.
That's right! Thanks, Sandra. Why is it so hard to find out which series are ending in 2011? All the info on the internet and I can't seem to find the magic words that will answer that question for me. LOL!We need a thread - series that have ended and/or are ending soon.
Yes we do, O Mega Mind! Actually, I was doing the same kind of search...and popping through blogs, etc. Part of it is that many authors don't know if they'll actually end a series or not....or so it seems.
I am beginning this challenge in January 2011. The only category I've decided on so far is:The End ... Is Near
Read a series that will be ending with the book released in 2011 - I am re-reading the first 4 Fever books in anticipation of the release of Shadowfever by KMM later this month.

The ones I know of are:The Wolves of Mercy Falls--I've read Shiver and didn't much care for it, so I'm not crazy about reading the last two.
Jaz Sparks - really don't want to read 8 books of a series I'm not really interested in picking up in the first place.
Fever - I've already read the 1st four books and feel kinda cheaty using that one for this challenge when I only need to read the last book.
Georgina Kincaid - same as the Fevers, I've already read the 1st five books, just need to read the final one.

Girl, do you remember who you're talking to? I must do all categories. It's just a part of me I choose not to fight. :)But I'll keep the Fevers on the back burner--if we're closing in on the end of this one and I still haven't found a series ending this year that I haven't read yet (and want to read), I'll use the Fevers.

Laura Lulu -- same here with Shiver. I read the first one. Like it but think that enough. I think that the first book was already wrapped up nicely. The second was kinda afterthought & now totally abandon the series.

I've been going over the challenges I have signed up for and I find I'm already weeding out a few that I have lost interest in doing. So that being said I going to bow out of this one. Good luck to those who finish :)

I'm gonna have to go with the Fever books for the first one, I didn't want to use a series I had already read 3 books, but I don't have anything else.I was using Kevin Hearn's Iron Druid Chronicles (Hounded, Hexed, Hammered), it's a trilogy with the last book out this month, and I read the 1st two this year, but I just read that his publisher gave him 3 more books. Good for him, bad for me. Lol.
