Kelleigh (goodreadscomsunshine2047) If you were stranded on an Island, and could take ONE character out of a book... who would it be and why?

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Argh! Damn you, Kelleigh! Right off, I would say Edward Cullen but I have to really think about this one.

message 3: by Kelleigh (last edited Jul 12, 2010 02:12PM) (new)

Kelleigh (goodreadscomsunshine2047) LOL

:)

Gotta love sparkly vampires! It would be a hard choice for me too....I think I would have to take Barrons from the Fever series, Edward would make a lovely backup though ;)

MMMMMM

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

I totally agree! Barrons is definitely at the top of the list too. YUM!

ஐAndreaஐ (rosesrrblue) | 707 comments I want Bones!!!

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

I was thinking Bones too!

message 7: by Kelleigh (new)

Kelleigh (goodreadscomsunshine2047) It's always going to be a toss up between Barrons and Bones.. they are the two greatest characters ever!

:)

sigh!

message 8: by Deanne (new)

Deanne | 209 comments I hate that I can only pick one but I think I will have to say either clay from bitten or wrath from bdb. This is to hard because now I can think of 3 more than I want. Lol I think I am a book slut. LOL

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

What book is Bones from?

message 10: by Kelleigh (new)

Kelleigh (goodreadscomsunshine2047) Ha!

We're all book sluts love!

:)

message 11: by Amanda (new)

Amanda The Book Slayer (amanda_the_book_slayer) | 111 comments That is hard. Bones is def. Hot !!!!But I think I would go with Eric Northman due to him being able to fly us off the island at anytime. lol

message 12: by Kelleigh (new)

Kelleigh (goodreadscomsunshine2047) OOO nice choice!

Flying is a superb option!

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Argh! How could I forget Eric????

message 14: by Deanne (new)

Deanne | 209 comments Bones I will add him to the orgey of my book men

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) I think Sookie's Eric would be very high on my list! ;)

message 18: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I am stuck between Bones and Eric! Now that's a nice thought......

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

What book is Bones from???

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

The Night Huntress series by Jeannine Frost.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks! I have that on my TBR list. It's going to have to wait until I finish The Mortal Instruments series and BDB series.

Hum, who would I take. Er, you SURE I can take only 1?? What about 1 a week? :oP

I'll have to give this some serious thought. Eric is yummy, but so is Bones. As is Barrons. And we won't even MENTION all the yummy Aregeneaus or Susan Sizemore's Primes. And then there are the shifters of Shelley Laurentson. And (throwing in some old timers) Doc Savage, John Carter, Tarzan and I always DID love Mowgli. :o)

Shannen, I'd skip the BDB series and go right for the good stuff (Bones and his buddies.) But then again--I view the BDB books as a tragedy for the poor tree that died to publish them.

message 24: by Shelly (new)

Shelly (mashbay) Barrons or Curran, I'd say!

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

I have to read BDB. Part of the pact I made with friends in my YA group. :) They all love it and I'm reading the first one and starting to get into it.

message 26: by Jessa ♥ EvilDarkSide (last edited Jul 12, 2010 05:24PM) (new)

Jessa ♥ EvilDarkSide (metalgirl80) James Alexander Malcom Mckenzie Fraser.

Jamie is a must have for survival. The ultimate lover and fighter!!

message 27: by Sandra J (new)

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 451 comments It's a hard choice. I think I'd like either Lock from Shelly Laurenston's The Mane Squeeze (an absolutely adorable grizzly shifter). Or maybe Nik, her tiger shifter from Here Kitty, Kitty. And I've always loved Kerovan from Andre Norton's The Crystal Gryphon. At least none of these characters would have a problem with the sun.

Jen ~The dreamer~ | 649 comments Bones, or Eric Northman, or Vishous!

message 29: by Joseph (new)

Joseph (bluemanticore) | 216 comments Gee, I would have thought Robinson Crusoe would be an obvious choice. :-) Although even better would be someone magical like Gandolf or Dumbledore to get me off that island.

hey, thats my man! lol

message 31: by Shelly (new)

Shelly (mashbay) Who is that?

Jessa ♥ EvilDarkSide (metalgirl80) Shelly wrote: "Who is that?"

Who, Jamie Fraser? He is only the best male fictional character EVER! Well, thats my opinion anyway. He's the 'hero' of the Outlander series. Jamie is the object of obsession for many of us around here. LOL!

message 33: by Megan (new)

Megan | 198 comments He is from the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Just to warn you, he will ruin you for all other men, fictional or otherwise, lol. No man can compete with him.

message 34: by Shelly (new)

Shelly (mashbay) Oh then I've gotta read those next!

Jessa ♥ EvilDarkSide (metalgirl80) Shelly wrote: "Oh then I've gotta read those next!"

I highly recommend them. But, I also tell people that it takes dedication to read this series. They are 900-1400 page novels and seven of them out so far. They also can be emotionally and mentally draining because the main characters go through so much stuff...good and bad. Just keep an open-mind and all will be fine.

message 36: by Shelly (new)

Shelly (mashbay) Good-they'll keep me busy. Thanks. Sorry to be off topic!

message 37: by Mhollie (new)

Mhollie | 178 comments Rhage from BDB
If not then, Bowen McReive

Jessa ♥ EvilDarkSide (metalgirl80) Shelly wrote: "Good-they'll keep me busy. Thanks. Sorry to be off topic!"

Yeah, we probably need to get back on topic. But I did send you a friend request, Shelly. I would love to know what you think about Outlander when you get around to reading it.

Jessa ♥ EvilDarkSide (metalgirl80) Mollie wrote: "Rhage from BDB

Bowen is a good choice!

message 40: by Kelleigh (new)

Kelleigh (goodreadscomsunshine2047) Hmm...I might have to look into reading this Outlander series!

:)

Is there anything paranormal about them..

Again - off topic OOPS!...My thread though, so oh well!

Jessa ♥ EvilDarkSide (metalgirl80) ...and a villianous witch!

How about Bo(ld) Novikov from Beast Behaving Badly Beast Behaving Badly (Pride, #5) by Shelly Laurenston

I have to admit--the model that they got for this cover reminds me a LOT of Alex (aka Eric Northman). Especially, he's my view of what Eric should look like, because I think that Alex is actually a tad under-muscled for the role. Besides--who can resist 7+ ft of georgous male Polar-Lion shifter??? (tiny spoiler--when he finally shifts in the book--he's a SABERTOOTHED LION.)

message 45: by Danielle (new)

Danielle (4siegel) | 69 comments Damn if I were smart, I would pick Rose from Vampire Academy because she seems to be able to get out of any awful situation. But for my pure enjoyment...EDWARD CULLEN...sorry Twi haters!!!

message 46: by Hiddenheart (new)

Hiddenheart If I had to pick a Twilight character, it would be Alice.
But, if I was going to take one person, it would be Stevie Rae from the House of Night series. She is so energetic and fun, and she is a great friend when needed/wanted.

message 47: by Kelley Anne (new)

Kelley Anne | 286 comments I would go with Samuel from the Mercedes Thompson series. Gotta love him, plus with the number of years that he has lived, he has to have learned a few survival techniques. And worst comes to worse, he turns me into a werewolf and I can just go hunting with him! :)
