Yeah, I know, there are other brands out there. I myself prefer Tom's. But I can't always afford it, and can usually prefer one of these. But I hate Crest. It is so sweet. If given the choice, I prefer Colgate. That is all.

message 2: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Same here. Total.

message 3: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 4034 comments Crest! Always. Plain old regular crest no whitening or tartar control or any of that crap. The giant number of toothpaste choices overwhelms me.

message 4: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments I'm not picky. I like cinnamony toothpaste, though.

Those kids flavors are gross. And I'm not fond of the smell of my dog's toothpaste. It smells like minty ground chuck with gravy.

message 5: by Mary (new)

Mary (madamefifi) I use Creat Prohealth under the illusion (delusion?) that I won't have to floss.

Oh, I have to floss. I get ... what is that gum disease called? Gingisomething? vitis. Every time I skip a few days and my breath gets all skanky and then my teeth start aching. I wish I could be lazier about my teeth but it just won't work. It was MISERABLE when I was pregnant, the inflamation would make big mouthfulls of blood.

message 7: by Brittomart (new)

Brittomart Crest!

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Crest, but I don't really have a preference.
I floss every day. Sometimes twice if I eat something that gets stuck in my teeth, like stringy bits of nectarine.

You all should floss, too! Do it! I'm looking at you all with concern.

message 9: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 4034 comments Haha Jackie.

message 10: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Definitely gotta floss. Definitely.

message 11: by Phoenix (new)

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments Original Crest and my floss and I are really good friends!

message 12: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11841 comments Crest, with tartar control & whitening, on the SoniCare. Flossing is a must.

message 13: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments i'll use any super-minty green toothpaste. i floss when i'm in the mood.

janine | 7709 comments for flossing.

message 15: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments I am flossing more lately...my dentist is on me about it, and I like him.

I prefer whatever toothpaste is on sale at Costco.:)

message 16: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) A dentist once told me I should regularly floss only between the teeth I would like to keep.

message 17: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments I really, REALLY miss my Water Pic. I used it ALL the time when I was in high school and college. I want one for Christmas.

message 18: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Or my birthday.

Water Pic is a Fort Collins company.

message 20: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Swipe one for me, Sally!

Larry wrote: "A dentist once told me I should regularly floss only between the teeth I would like to keep."

Dentists all round the world must use the same line. :)

message 22: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Paige (authorlindsaypaige) My mom buys Colgate Total, but I like the Colgate Max Fresh with Mini Breath Strips.

message 23: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
I don't feel the need for strips.

And their moms embroider it onto pillows for them.

Their mums are the only ones who love them. :)

What time is it in Australia, cyborg?

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

11.35am

message 29: by Lori (new)

Lori Crest. For awhile it was AquaFresh sensitive, but I'm back to Crest again. My dentist told me to get the ProHealth, so that's what I'm doing.

Tom's also, never going back to either Colgate or Crest. Rather brush my teeth with a peeled stick.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Why, Zen? I haven't tried Tom's. How is it better than the others?

message 32: by Agathafrye (new)

Agathafrye | 17 comments Arm & Hammer Advance White! Best toothpaste ever.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Agathafrye! What are YOU doing here! Yay!!! :D

:::does a happy dance:::

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
Toms is really the best. It just doesn't taste so fakey and FRESH! . It is just clean.

It was all I could stand while pregnant. Anything made me vomit on my toothbrush.

message 35: by Lori (last edited Jul 12, 2010 08:15PM) (new)

Lori Ya know, I'll have to give Tom's another try. Jake used to love it, the strawberry thank you very much, no orange. It's just that I need sensitive tp, and Tom's doesn't make one. They SHOULD!

I once shorted my keyboard by vomiting TP!

message 36: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
you vomited toilet paper?

message 37: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Ew.

message 38: by Agathafrye (new)

Agathafrye | 17 comments Tom's doesn't actually work so hot, though. I find that Arm & Hammer keeps my breath minty fresh for far longer than any other toothpaste.

JACKIE! I just felt compelled to weigh in on this important topic. I'll go back to lurking now. :)

Flossing keeps my breath fresher than anything else does. IMHO.

They are lovely. Hi from me too Agathafrye.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Lots of cool people in this group, Agathafrye. You would fit right in. :)

And I second the flossing, Sally. Didn't I just say something about flossing somewhere recently? I like waxed mint floss the best.

message 46: by Lori (new)

Lori HI AGATHAFRYE!

Any relation to Dwight?

message 49: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments Welcome, Agathafrye!

I floss, Sally!
I prefer Tom's to Colgate or Crest, but sometimes use Sensodent. Whichever one I use I use the sensitive teeth formula.
