Just started Pride of Kings. I haven't read Tarr in awhile, but this fits in timewise with her Hound and Falcon Trilogy which I really liked.
I put The Lesser Kindred by Elizabeth Kerner on the backseat because I wasn't quite connecting with it, but now I'm mainly reading Practical Demonkeeping by Christopher Moore.
Just finished Jennifer Fallon's The Palace of Impossible Dreams, third in a series. Working on China Mieville's The City & The City. Not sure what's on my list after that...
Having just made my list of "Books that I "HAVE"/am going to read in July," today, I figured I'd share:Warbreaker,Leviathan, The Passage, The Venetian Betrayal: A Novel, New Spring, Freedom's Landing, Heaven and Earth, To Ride Pegasus, and The Sacrifice

His writing style can be a bit broken at times, but for the most part, he's an enjoyable author.
I finished The Desert Spear (my review) yesterday. A quick weekend read, even at nearly six hundred pages. I'll continue on with Fugitive Prince while I wait for Furies of Calderon to arrive.
Almost finished with The Angel's Game, I really wish more of Ruiz Zafon's work was translated into English. I picked up Sabriel by Garth Nix which I've been meaning to get to for a while and after that it's The Hero with a Thousand Faces ...at least that's the plan, as long as I don't get sidetracked by another book, which happens all too often :)
Michael wrote: "I decided to quickly rip through The Risen Queen to give an Aussie author another go, then I'll get back to the (so far) brilliant Perdido Street Station. Then I hope to..."If you're debating about reading anything and Good Omens, I'd go with Good Omens. Not that I'm biased toward the book or anything. :)

Furies of Calderon was difficult for me to get into, but TOTALLY worth it after I did get into it. The audio of it was AWESOME.
I just finished Elantris and will now hurry through The Curse of the Mistwraith so I can then read The Ships of Merior to join in the discussion. Better late than never!
I finished Sailing to Sarantium and Lord of Emperors and am starting The Gaslight Dogs. I'm rereading The Curse of the Mistwraith. I listened to Shadow Woman, and Spies of the Balkans: A Novel. I'm now listening to Tigana, which so far has some real nasty characters!
Well, I will be reading The Dwarves and The War of the Dwarves - not sure what to read next, almost done with the second book :)
Just finished The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Reading Crisscross by F. Paul Wilson and I have The Girl Who Played With Fire on my to-read list. I'm in the process of moving so my book list is kinda warped right now.
I finished Practical Demonkeeping by Christopher Moore last night. Not as funny as I was expecting, but still decent. Now I've started on Fragment by Warren Fahy for summer popcorn reading. :)
Working on Friedman's [Book: Black Sun Rising] after just finishing Larry Correia's [Monster Hunter International:]. I think I needed something with half a brain after that one.

I was also sad to find it wasn't all that funny. I was looking forward to reading it and reacted with a simple "meh".
Since reading The farseer series has got me hooked on Robin Hobb, I'm going to read the Liveship Traders this month:
,
,
As soon as I finish with Assassin's Quest, but that should not take long. It's really hard to close that book:p
Finished The Desert Spear a few days ago and am now reading Mistborn: The Final Empire. Not quite what I was expecting but still a very interesting read so far.
Alan wrote: "Im reading book 2 of The Farseer Trilogy, Royal Assassin."Cool that it's not only me that have just started on Robin Hobb's books:) Have really fallen in love with her characters<3
I finished The Furies of Calderon (my review) yesterday and will continue absorbing the second half of The Fugitive Prince.
I just (as in hours ago) finished The Curse of the Mistwraith, which I loved. Now (as in minutes from now) I'll be moving on to The Ships of Merior and then Warhost of Vastmark after that. Depending on how I feel at that point I may take a break from Janny Wurts and go back to David Anthony Durham for the second book in his Acacia series, The Other Lands. I doubt I'll finish that all in July though... That would be quite a lot for me! :-)
I'm right behind you Dawn! Currently reading The Curse of the Mistwraith and following you through the next two.
Oh, I'm also working on [Book: The Shadow Rising]. Figure since The Wheel of Time might be finishing up in the next couple of years I should get moving. Heh.
John wrote: "Oh, I'm also working on [Book: The Shadow Rising]. Figure since The Wheel of Time might be finishing up in the next couple of years I should get moving. Heh."Cannot wait for A Memory of Light to be published, then I start re-reading the first 8 and the rest of the series reading for the first time.
Since I don't have the money to buy the books I really want to read, I'm trying to finish all the books I have waiting in my bookshelf and since it's alot I shouldn't be bored. But It's so many interesting books coming out now and I just want to get my hands on them. Well at the moment I'm reading about twelwe different books, depending on my mood, but I'm trying to foucs on L E Modesitt Jr. - Legacies.

WOW!
For the life of me I could never understand how people can read even two books at the same time...
One must be a genius to remember everything.
I picked up The Gaslight Dogs from the hold shelf at the library yesterday. And I must read The Rainbow over the weekend as I have a real life book club meeting Tuesday night to discuss it. I should finished Fugitive Prince today or tomorrow and I'll continue my in-depth re-read of Curse of the Mistwraith.

Finished (a couple of days ago) Fugitive Prince (my review) ahead of an in-depth online discussion next month. It doesn't look like I'm going to finish The Rainbow before this evening's real-life book club discussion. I'll continue re-reading The Curse of the Mistwraith and start The Gaslight Dogs this week.
Finished Fragment by Warren Fahy last night. I really enjoyed it. Good summer reading. Now starting on Un Lun Dun by China Mieville for the discussion. I like that this book has pictures. :)
Petra, I'm in the same boat as you. I have quite a bit of books that I have not read—–about half a five shelf bookshelf full and stacked––and there are sooo many new ones coming out that I want but I was finally told by my fiancé that I had to finish the ones I have before I can get anymore! I'm trying to find all the time I can to read, because I don't want to miss out on getting a hardback. But anyways, this month I'm finishing up "The Haunted Lands" trilogy by Richard Lee Byers with Unholy. After that I plan to take a small break from series and read Brandon Sanderson's Elantris.
I just read, and I recommend John Cicero's Rainbow's Shadow And The Covenant Of WisdomWhat a ride! This book has such a great message. Everyone should find the path and experience the Covenant of Wisdom
Finished Breaking Dawn.It was not as bad as I thought it would be.
It was OK. Good ending. A couple of nice twists. Probably on par with Twilight, while New Moon and Eclipse were bad.
All in all, the series is ...weak. Twilight film was better than the book. Although it was a good easy reading when I needed one.
Today and probably tomorrow I read a few chapters from
, then I am going to read
maybe...:)

I'd be more likely to believe this if it didn't look like the author had set up a slew of dummy GR accounts just this month to fluff up the ratings!

Any chance that I had of reading these books has completely gone down the drain.

I don't mind authors honestly promoting their own work. That's part of their job. This kind of misleading garbage is another matter entirely. And I agree with you, my response is that I'm never going to pick up this book.

I started off the month with I'm a Stranger Here Myself: Notes on Returning to America After 20 Years Away, then moved on to A Great and Terrible Beauty, which I just finished. I'm now reading Rebel Angels. I may or may not pick up the first of David Eddings' Belgariad, now that I finally own them.
I finished The Elfstones of Shannara and Gardens of the Moon. Now I am reading Across the Face of the World and Iron Elves: A Darkness Forged in Fire.

I guess it was......... an interesting story.
Although, I have nothing else to add. It didn't feel like a fantasy. Just fiction with a few mystical elements.
Same day evening I started in/famous
I liked the film and looking forward to reading it.
