Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) Amy didn't. She bucked story cliches and went for the boy next door. Martha left and fell in love with someone else.

And what's wrong with falling in love? The Doctor is an amazing guy, and I know I'd be in love with him if I were a companion. And Whouffle is my magnificent OTP so I definitely don't have a problem with love in Doctor Who.

message 10164: by [deleted user] (new)

No, no. What happened is that I didn't refresh my computer, so I didn't see that you had already responded to the ask Elevetha thing. Yeah, I realized he was referring to you. I just wanted you to second what he said.
I need to remember that refresh button.

message 10165: by Ethan (new)

Ethan (platypopper) | 3658 comments Sorry to confuse. I just call her Elev because it's shorter.

You don't like tea?!?! .....have you had "real" tea (ie, not the stuff that is served as sweet tea)

message 10182: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) Hi!

@Erica: I find that a lot of people are like "Oh I hate tea" and they have classified tea into what is called sweet tea (in the US).

message 10183: by Erica (new)

Erica Criscione | 263 comments Nah I like British or Chinese tea better

message 10184: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) I pretty much like any tea. I recently acquired an Irish tea that is really really strong but is really rich in flavor.

message 10185: by Erica (new)

Erica Criscione | 263 comments Well i have some from china that is suppose to help weight loss

message 10186: by [deleted user] (new)

This is Briana on Abby's account: I've never had sweet tea. I've had the stuff that my mom has bought and made before.

Irene (wingdesilverii) Abby wrote: "This is Briana on Abby's account: I've never had sweet tea. I've had the stuff that my mom has bought and made before."

Do you by chance know what kind it is? I pretty much hated tea until I my grandmother (from Canada) showed me that there are literally thousands of teas out there. From there I have really found something things that I like, and most are off the beaten path.

(I just feel like that you should experience different types of tea before saying "I don't like it" because that was me once and I really love teas now)

message 10188: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) Erica wrote: "Well i have some from china that is suppose to help weight loss"

That's a debatable topic but I think there is some truth in that herbal teas help with certain things. We live in such a, i'm not really sure what to call it, world that a lot of times more natural remedies are tossed out because they didn't come from a doctor and a lab.

message 10189: by [deleted user] (new)

Briana again: I can't remember what kind of tea it was. Sorry.

message 10190: by [deleted user] (new)

Someone asked about the 1971 Andromeda Strain? It's very good, all the technical equipment in the film are not props but real sci/med intruments in real working order. The film is very authentic and real and the ideas in it are very intelligent and believable.

message 10194: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) So did a lot of you guys change your profile pics to match for something regarding Cat? (not that I have an issue or anything, just curious)

message 10195: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments We all changed it to Cat's picture in honor of her. Harry (her best friend IRL) told is that she died in a car accident on July 16th.

message 10196: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) I know, I saw, took me a minute to put together her name with her nickname and picture. She was a really nice person, didn't know her that well though, a shame for someone so young. That's a touching thing to do though.

It was Ethan's idea :)

By the way, for those who said she was thirteen -- Cat was eleven, turning twelve on the 31st of October.

message 10198: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) It's really the best way to do something here (like in RL you could wear a ribbon or something, here not so much).
