I like orange juice ^_^ Apple juice is gross. Anything to do with pineapples is gross. What else is there?

message 10102: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments OJ is okay. Sometimes. Pineapple juice is nasty. Grapefruit juice - yuck.

Okay, so maybe I'm more of a cocktail juice hog. Not the straight stuff.

Are you a pineapple hater? O.O

message 10104: by Elevetha (new)

PINEAPPLELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Only a few of you will get this...)

I don't like pineapple a lot, it's harsh on my mouth and stomach when eaten straight. I love them on Hawaiian pizza, though. I like grape juice, OJ, apple juice-I like most of the juices.
Yeah, we call normal potatoes white potatoes, unless we're going to go all specific and say: Russet, Golden, blah blah blah.
I like potatoes all ways. Fried, Baked, Grilled, Mashed...

*eyebrow raise* Yes, Lent is still most certainly a thing. Of course, with the society we have now. I'm sure there are a lot of people that don't participate, but it is still a thing and actually pretty big.

I love how in Lent here, even the McDonalds have the fish sandwiches on sale on Friday. And there are fish fries everywhere. But then after Lent, they stop.

Missed this message. *drools uncontrollably* I could do with a good potato or two right now . . . (And yes, it is 10:38AM. Your point?)
I love them pretty much every way; UNLESS they are in potato salad. That stuff . . . *shudder*
Mashed, and then fried later is probably the best thing ever.

Kumara is the Maori word for sweet potato, so it's the one we use here :P

message 10115: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) Kumara? :D Sweet! I'll have to use that. Sweet potatoes are magical. Potatoes in general are amazing. They can do no wrong in my eyes.

message 10138: by Marlene (last edited Aug 12, 2013 09:55AM) (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) Probably won't watch Timeline. I think I'll stick to trying to track down The Andromeda Strain, the 1971 version that I watched once as a kid and my dad was very keen on. Very realistic sci-fi.

Has anyone seen it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMbSpn...

Best film ever.

@Eris. In the middle of Series 7 part 2. I love Clara Oswin Oswald!!!! But I miss the Ponds.

*reflects on series 7 part 1 and sobs uncontrollably*

message 10146: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) I hear you. :( I will always miss the Ponds (much sobbing was had for The Angels Take Manhattan), but don't worry, the role of companion is in good hands with Clara.

Not as good as it would have been with The Ponds. why can't they stay forever????

message 10148: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) Because no companion can. All actors have to move on, and I think the Ponds left at a good time. Their character arcs were done, and they left before it got a chance to be stale. Doctor Who thrives on change, and Clara has been brilliant. She's my favorite companion at the moment.

message 10149: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah. Clara sure is an odd one, though. AND HOW COME ALMOST EVERY FEMALE COMPANION HAS TO FALL IN LOVE WITH THE DOCTOR???

Besides Donna that is. =P
