Hi, Simona! I am behind on my "where" updates. I'll definitely do that soon. I love seeing how we scatter the globe. :)

Where are you living now? OhioWhere are you originally from? Ohio
Where would you like to retire to? Hmm, tough one! England maybe, or Montana, but on the other hand, I really can't see myself moving too far away from my children.
I currently live in Oregon.I was born in Oregon.
Where do I plan to retire off to? Oregon. It's my home and heart.:)
We're considering Oregon as a spot to retire. Do the southern coastal areas have harsh winters, Ashley? Not right on the water, but I'm thinking around the southwest would be preferable for me. My hubby likes the cold and I like the sun/heat. We're from VA, so don't mind some cold winter months, but I'm not a fan of super cold or real long winters. Do you recommend a specific area in the state I should research? We're also considering parts of Colorado, if anyone has tips on cities in that state too.
We are outdoorsy, so looking for a spot that offers lots of options for hiking and biking. I prefer having water close or not too far away (know Colorado is land-locked, but maybe a lake?). And, like I said above, I'm for more warm, sunny days but he prefers the cold. Don't necessarily need to be right in the city, but don't want to have to drive more than 1-1.5 to get to civilization either. ;)
Suggestions? The USMC has been shipping us to and fro for 20+ years. Deciding where to go - on our own - is proving to be a BIG challenge.
It stinks. But, I'm sure we'll be happy where ever we settle. If not, it's not like we're unfamiliar with packing up and moving again. ;)
I am in Euclid, Ohio.I was born in Winchester, VA but I never lived there. My family was always on the move...Dad had itchy feet and tended to burn a lot of bridges behind him.
Retire? What's that? I don't plan to retire. I will be writing until I am overtaken by too much dementia to make sense.
If my son stays in Tennessee...maybe it's be there, if my beloved wither passes or agrees. Otherwise, who knows/cares?Children of Stone: Voices in Crystal
