^^ You are unbelievable. I do believe that if you were kept in a plastic bubble, you would trip and somehow break your finger. And alcohol might be a better painkiller--there was one time I had to clean out my hand, as I had a dog-induced case of biker's road rash. A drink before hand and I avoided Urgent Scare.

I had something here ad=nd managed to delete it. How, I'll never know.
but hubby thought what you said was really funny.
Before they are hanged by Joe Abercrombie and Bring up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel. Both of them are very good so far.

Not for everyone, but Mistwraith is available on kindle.
So, I finished the last written Kate last night. And, now I feel lost and alone . . . I have no idea where to go next!

I have it on a pintrest board and they give me the html code.
Other than that, you can do this: < img src="http://www.goodreads.com/image..." width="40" height="100" alt="description"/> (put the address of the graphic where the goodreads address and remove the space before "img"
Following Nikki's recommendations, I'm reading Gerald Morris, the first book of his that I found in our library, The Lioness and Her Knight. So far - charming and funny, although I don't usually read YA fantasy.
Malrubius wrote: "I am reading Nick Harkaway's Angelmaker, in case anyone is interested."Oh, I am. I enjoyed Gone Away World so much I wanted to read more of his work. People seem to like Angelmaker--keep us posted!

He's a great GREAT writer, but I put it aside because I was/am in the mood for something more grim. So I started Viriconium but that seems to lack great GREAT writing, so I will probably pick up Angelmaker again tonight.
Haven't been on here in SO long! I'm almost finished with The Golem's Eye - the 2nd book in the Bartimaeus trilogy. Really loving this series
Re-reading Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor and enjoying it just as much the second time around. I can hardly wait to start Days of Blood & Starlight immediately afterwards!
Ugh. The reading doldrums have caught up with me. I recently finished Broken Elements, and it was awesome. But, now. Now I just can't find anything that will grab me and hold my interest. I started the 2nd in the Eli Monpress series The Spirit Rebellion. Just do not care enough about the characters. I tried reading The Third Lynx, the 2nd in the Quadrail series - but it is a re-read for me and I just don't wanna. I tried reading Yendi and can't get past the 3rd page. I've read 3 chapters in DarkShip Thieves and I am beyond caring. I need to care. I am just not finding myself caring. Sigh.

I just finished The Gone-Away World and then Wool Omnibus, both of which were fabulous. But I didn't want to pick up another in the genre, so I jumped to a thriller/mystery Caught Stealing
While waiting for my copies of American Gods and Days of Blood & Starlight to arrive I am reading historical fiction Mother Earth Father Sky by Sue Harrison and quite enjoying it!
I've finally started reading The Ships of Merior. I'm very thankful for the glossary! It took me a bit because I had to look up every name and place, but I'm getting into it now. It's very good. :) I don't usually go looking for specific books, but I just might for this series.
I just got done reading The Dresden Files for the first time. I tried picking up Side Jobs: Stories From the Dresden Files, and ended up starting New Spring by Robert Jordan at the same time. I'm afraid New Spring has caught me, though, because Side Jobs is being neglected. I'm starting to think I'll just hold onto it for when I need a mini-break from WoT.
So I finished Shifting Selves The Third Lynx Odd Girl Out and Touched by an Alien. Shifting Selves is as good as the first. The 2nd of the Frank Compton was not as good as the first, but, to me, the 3rd stepped back up.
Still contemplating Touched by an Alien.
So, I have picked up DarkShip Thieves and am finding it rather entertaining. I still have a bunch on my queued list . . . The Phoenix Guards and American Gods including both kinda having trouble getting there.
Started American Gods and am liking some parts more than others. Up to now I'd say I like it less than Neverwhere but more than Anansi Boys. I am looking forward to discussing this book!
I just finished Night Watch. It was a great read, but left me depressed by what felt like a deconstructionist descent into nihilism. I think I'm going to giveThe Sword-Edged Blonde a try because a book with that title has just got to be funny.

I just started Warhost of Vastmark, and I have a few 'new' Anne McCaffrey books waiting for me afterwards. :)
I know! I just did a count myself and discovered that I have just over 100 unread books in my library! You'd think that this would motivate me to stop purchasing books, but you'd be wrong...
I've recently started Ripper by Stefan Petrucha and Dodger by Terry Pratchett. Neither has quite captured me as I thought they would, but it's early days yet.
I finished Monster Hunter Vendetta. It was non-stop action. Now I'm going to continue with Monster Hunter Alpha.
I am working my way through Dust of Dreams by Steven Erikson. And I mean working. I have absolutely loved this series and think the scope of his world is just stunning. But this one seems to really drag. This is the ninth book so maybe I'm just getting burned out on it, but I feel lost and confused (not an uncommon feeling in his books) and I just want to see what happens.
I'm reading The Blinding Knife, The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, & I'm listening to Dead in the Family. I also just bought The Way of Kings on Amazon for my Kindle for only $2.99 (it's a promotion for the tor.com re-read Michael mentioned). I need to stop buying books! I miss my library but I really need to work on the unread books I own...

Yes, it really leaves me wanting more! In some ways I envy those who will start the trilogy when the third book is finished, so they can read all the book straight through!
I read Daughter of Smoke and Bone is going to be made in to a movie. I just hope they do the novel justice.
I am starting Tam Lin by Pamela Dean
Finished The Summer Tree by Guy Gavriel Kay and I'm currently reading Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. So far so good.
I'm readingWrayth, wanted to finish the trilogy. I'm at the point where work and life are getting in between me and a conclusion.
Helen wrote: "I'm readingWrayth, wanted to finish the trilogy. I'm at the point where work and life are getting in between me and a conclusion."I thought a 4th book was planned...?

Oh, and, this is why I went to digital books only. You can only move a library so many times before you cry "uncle". "
I have a pretty extensive digital library...but lately I've found myself only wanting to read DTBs. *shrug* I can't say why. Luckily I hoard all kinds of books.
I don't think I'm going to get much reading done today or tomorrow. I was walking the dog and somehow got my hurt finger caught up in the leash as he was trying to run. Oh, God. The pain was...&$I%#)*#!!!!
I've stopped taking my pain meds so I'm going to have a nice stiff drink. Hopefully it'll dull the pain enough to get to sleep.
