Read-a-thons are my pacifier =D

If not for these monthly 24 hour challenges I'd be even further behind on my reading than I am now =D. I am a power reader at heart. I just have trouble sticking with a book if the characters don't grab me. I often finish a book [days, weeks later:] and end up liking it. 9 of 10 times I will struggle day by day to finish a book. That 10th book gets the lucky chuck and ends up unfinshed.

I love my book counts to be double digits every month. I just feel so accomplished. So I am hoping to knock out a book or 2 or 4 5!! LOL! We shall see.

Good for you! I wish my monthly book count was in the double digits! It used to be, but not anymore :o(

@michelle Its a +/- having NO life, lol. Until I start school or work I really only have my hobbies keeping me busy. No kids or hubby.

How do you read so fast? I wish I could read that fast then maybe my TBR shelf would be getting smaller instead of growing faster than I can read. :)

i dunno...i've always read fast...I think because I taught myself how to skim read for school, it has just eventually over time translated into doing it in my pleasure reading...I can easily read a 300 page book in a few hours

I just have life interfer with my reading. I am doing good on my book though. Just started Escape by Robert Tannebaum.

I am feeling to sleepy to power read right now but I am getting a few pages done.

I used to be able to read like that Dee but my brain waves have changed or something lol.
