I'll definitely read Not Quite a Husband & Carnal Desires because they are part of my July challenge. :) I'm glad you suggested Dark Lover...I've been wanting to read it for a while so I'll order it from PBS. :) And I'm very interested in the Evanovich...I've been wanting to read something by her but I refuse to get into the Stephanie Plum series. :)

I couldnt find the thread again but thanks for the link on a copy of The Color of Love. I'm so wearing out my book budget. I may have another book time out coming soon~

Hey :)
I've tried to come up with the books that I think are the best or at least sound the most interesting for you to pick from, I hope you like at least some of the choices.
TBR suggestions
1) The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
I absolutly loved this book, and highly suggest it.
2) The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella by Stephenie Meyer
Just finished this one and really enjoyed it, very fast read.
3) Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead
I see that you have read some of the others in the series, one of my favourite series.
4) Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
A friend of mine highly suggested this book to be and I think that it sounds like a great book.
New to You
1) The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks
I really loved this book and it's a perfect summer read.
2) Kiss Me Kill Me by Lauren Henderson
This one is a great mystery, it will definitely keep you guessing.
3) A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
A good book to read if you like something that is a little more historical, I really enjoyed the whole series.
4) Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause
This is another quick read, but also really good.

If you need other suggestions just let me know!
Heather :)

Tbr list:
Night World No. 1: Secret Vampire; Daughters of Darkness; Spellbinder I found this to be really different from paranormal I usually read. I didn’t like it at first, but it gets better as you get into it.
The Giver—this novel is one I think everyone should at least attempt to read. It sorta makes me wonder if we could end up with a world like this..
You Suck: A Love Story He’s supposed to be a great author. So no reason, not to read lol.
Mona Lisa Awakening Sounds errie, and kinda good.
New Reading Options:
Girl with a Pearl Earring This is an interesting tale. It’s a bit historical; I don’t think it is necessarily meant to be based off anything though. Have you seen the movie?
The Namesake My mom was listening to this in the car, and I got into it. A historical novel, the women is given to a man in an arranged marriage situation. Captivating story.
Kissing Frogs in Cyberspace Funny, light, romantic read.
The Notebook You’ve read other N.S. why not this one?

You're Welcome!! I hope you like Woodiwiss! She was the one who turned me on to romance and I devoured her books as a 13-14 year old.!

Thanks so much!! I have the bad habit of finding an author I like and reading the entire backlist. Though a wonderful experience, it leaves me new authors list rather lacking.
All of them looked so good that you suggested, but I think I am going with either First Comes Marriage or Beyond the Highland Mist. It depends on what is in at the library and how I feel after finishing Somewhere In Time and time travel haha.
Incidentally, I am reading Almost Heaven for the summer seasonal challenge (I know I've seen you there)! I could read that one but I feel like that would be cheating haha!
Thanks so much, BJ Rose!!

Your To-Be-Read Shelf
1. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare~ An awesome series...."
Thanks so much, Nandar! I think I'm gonna read Poison Study first, I might get to some more of your picks later in the month :) We just moved so its been chaotic!

Actually, it's only 1 book, not one for each. Unless the person wants to do so....

From your TBR shelf:
Beautiful Creatures: To me, it had a lot of the same elements in it as Twilight only reverse the roles with the girl being the supernatural character and the boy being the "normal" lead telling the story...which was actually a nice change of pace.
The Iron King: I've not had the chance to read this one yet, but it came highly recommended to me by a friend who's reading tastes I trust so I feel confident in passing the referral on.
The Awakening and The Struggle: aka The Vampire Diaries. I haven't gotten around to reading these yet either, but if they are anything like the show I think they'll be pretty good.
The Host: Another one I haven't yet read, but given our love for Stephenie Meyer and her famous Twilight saga, I'm sure this one would not disappoint.
Not from your TBR shelf:
Blue Aspen: A very unique story. It is part psychological thrill, part pnr and I loved it! Very descriptive and a bit dark. Very different from anything else I've read. Plus, I love the cover art!
Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side: Another one highly recommended to me by a trusted friend.
The Fallen 1: The Fallen and Leviathan: Not sure how much of a romance this one contains, but it revolves around the fallen angel theme.
Kissed by an Angel: I've actually recently started this one myself. So far so good.
There ya go. Sorry I haven't read more to make more "educated" suggestions. But for what it is worth, I plan to read all the one's that I listed but have not yet read. I hope at least one of my recommendations will interest you for this challenge. Otherwise let me know, and I will try again. :)

Here are my picks. you had so many good choices it was hard for me to narrow it down ..."
Angelique, thanks so much for the great suggestions! :) I haven't narrowed it down yet as to which one I'm going to read, but I added all the new recs to my TBR list! Right now I think I am torn between Taken and Full Moon Rising, but really they all sound intriguing!

I'm such a dork, sorry! I was hurrying yesterday morning trying to get my recs posted before having to leave for the day. I've upda..."
*pets Kim* Yeah, you're off my list now!LOL

Check back here tomorrow or i'll send you a PM. I may need you!LOL

From your TBR shelf:
Beautiful Creatures: To me, ..."
ahaha Rachel ty so much for your recommendation. I think I well read Kiss by an Angel first (sounds really intresting). Jessica's Guide to Dating A Vampire is a good book and i read that already XD. I hope I can get through all of ur other recommendation because their all look like seriously good books!
Hope you enjoy your picks tht your partner gave you!

From your TBR:
Rogue by Rachel Vincent: This series is my one of my favorite. It's definitely a book to check out.
The Watcher by Jeanne C. Stein: I looove Anna Strong! I've just finished book five in the series. This one is as good as the first two.
Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire: I admit, I actually skipped to the second one by accident, but if that is anything to go by this should be good.
Windfall by Rachel Caine: I'm actually this far in the series myself. So, if you choose this I'll be curious to see if it's as good as the others.
Dhampir by Barb Hendee and J.C. Hendee: This series is a really good one. A lot of manipulation at play, and somethings that you may not see coming.
New to you:
Nightwalker by Jocelynn Drake: This is one of my favorite UF series EVER. I just in general think everybody needs to read this.
The Scent of Shadows by Vicki Petterson: Another of my favorite UF.
Pretty When She Dies: A Vampire Novel by Rhiannon Frater This is a fantastic addition to the UF genre.
Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko: I've never read this, but I've really been meaning to. The summery looks really promising.
Cast in Shadow by Michelle Sagara West : another one that's been on my TBR for a while now.
And thanks for the picks Gus! They all look really great. I think I'll go with Sleeping with the Fishes. I've never read a mermaid book before. This should be interesting!<3

Thanks for the recs! I think I`m going to finally finish HP saga. But I saw The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxywith a special price in a bookstore and I was not sure if I should buy it or not... now I`m going to place the order for sure!

Tbr list:
Night World No. 1: Secret Vampire; Daughters of Darkness; Spellbinder I found this to be really different from paranormal I usually read. I didn’t like it at fir..."
Thanks Ari!
I am going to read Girl with a Pearl Earring. I have not seen the movie and I am looking forward to trying something new. I already ordered it from PBS.
I am also going to read The Notebook. The reason I haven't read it is because I saw the movie first and this has always seemed to bother me in the past. I discovered while listening to The Devil Wears Prada on audio that I liked it better than the movie.

Well, then I guess I picked well. =P I hope you like it. <3

I'm new to this group and to me picking these books without ever having met you is exciting and scary. Bear with me as I try to do good. We seem to have very different tastes..."
I had chosen to read Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake!!
I am DONE!!! I know it was quick, but I had taken out of the library 3 weeks ago and it is due tonight! I tried to renew it but it is on hold for someone else! Whew...that was a very quick, good read! One of my faves for sure!!
Thanks again Drq!!

Since both Gigi and I will be unavailable around that time due to traveling plans. DD, will be doing the re-pairing at 11pm.

Angel Warriors - this is the first in a series about angels set in detroit

Sorry Jim, i promise you'll have your recommendations by then either by your original partner or a new one.

Thanks for the great recommendations! I'm going to read all four from my TBR list and the Nora Roberts looks good. I burned out on her for a while but I'm ready to give her another go. The Angel Warriors looks awesome. I'll order it and the Twenties Girl. I love chick-lit. I've already read Wild Card. Loved it! One of my fav's from Lora Leigh.
Here are my recommendations for you:
From your TBR:
Halfway to the Grave - I loved this series
Squeeze Play - a light fun read
Hidden Honor - Anne Stuart is one of my favorite authors and this one delivers
Moon Called - a great UF book
New to you:
I don't read a lot of YA but
The Lightning Thief - this was a fun series I really enjoyed
Inkheart - much better then the movie
Envy - I noticed you have some of Sandra Browns books - this was one of the best, I love how she always has a twist on the end
Just the Sexiest Man Alive - funny new author
I hope you find something on this list you enjoy! Let me know if you need more

I think i'll probably go with Moon Called and Halfway to the Grave off my TBR and Just the Sexiest Man Alive on the new list, although Lightening Thief looks good too!
Thanks and have a great vacation - i'm jealous!

Thanks Penny, I will look forward to reading the new books. I will probably read all of them. I did notice one, The Bride that I did read already but didn't have on my list. I read so many books in HS(it's been a long time) and I forgot some of them. LOL

TBR
Sin by Sharon Page - This is one Hot Historical. The whole series is pretty sexually intense.
Conspiracy in Death by J.D. Robb - One of my fav authors, I just finished the series to date and I love how Eve has grown through the books!
New to You
Full Moon Rising by Keri Arthur - A little PNR, a little erotic. I like all her books.
The Devil Inside by Jenna Black - A darker PNR, that is more erotic at times.
Mind Game by Christine Feehan - Exciting paranormal spy thriller, we discover more info on the mysterious shadowalkers.
Don't Look Down by Jennifer Cruisie - When I want a laugh with my romance, she is perfect. This has a mystery thrown.
Dark Roots and Cowboy Boots by LuAnn McLane - Another amusing author she is very offbeat and quirky.
Instant Temptation by Jill Shalvis - Contemporary romance with a twist of steamy always thrown in.
His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik - SFF, although probably more fantasy. Dragons battling Napolean. What an imagination the author has.

Something from the Nightside by Simon R. Green. Good series where there is another world kind of co-existing with London where things are a bit different. John Taylor is a PI with a special talent to "find" things.
ReRed-Headed Stepchild by Jaye Wells. Sabina is half-vampire, half-mage in a world where the two races hate each other. She was raised an assassin by her vampire grandmother.
They both look REALLY good!

Sorry for my late reply, but please find here below my recommendations.

Thanks Nairabell! I actually started reading Urban Shaman, but got distracted by some new releases and never got back to it, so I think I will start there. Nice Girls Have Fangs is also one of my "SUNSHINE" challenge books so I need to read that one too.
