I must say, I'm baffled. I see product details, I see rankings but I don't see anywhere where I can tag my books or anyone else's for that matter. Even the article above which is supposed to show what it looks like is blank at that very spot. Has Amazon discontinued tagging?

This tagging thing which by all accounts is a relic from the past that no longer exists, is no subsitute for reading a book.

Authors who read one anothers work & readers who support and encourage authors is what we need.
Buying reviews ( speaking from experience) too is a waste of time and money as they only tell you what you want to hear.

So readers plz plz encourage us by buying a book and leaving a review. And authors please note - there is no magic wand that will make us instant over night success....Harry Potter, tagging and paid reviews ....they are all fairy tales.....Nuff Sedd!

Yes, I agree. All of these tactics are disheartening and there are a lot of authors that have the time to do these gimmicks. If you just want to stick to bringing new readers to your book, and let them actually read it, the writing will prove itself! haha. I had some pretty good luck and got some free stuff from booklifts.com if anyone wants free stuff. They allow you to partner up with another author to get free book covers. If anyone is interested in partnering with me, please let me know!

I don't believe tagging is still available on Amazon. I had heard they did away with it a while back. Sorry, I'm new to this group so I'm not sure if anyone else has already mentioned this or not. Also, voting may still be available, I'm not sure on that one.
