SOLVED!: Man and adolescent daughter on the run, living in woods [s]

This book is recent, the last 2-3 years,maybe. written from the perspective of a young girl who is living in the woods with a man she believes to beher father. They live in a hidden glen, or cave. He teaches her survival skills. They are discovered and have to run. They come upon a camp of other homeless people, the father says not to trust them. They live and work on a farm at one point. They share a shack in the snow with a woman, whom I believe burns it down, burning the father who then dies of his injuries. The girl may have memory of her mother and a sister. I believe it turns out the man was not her father, after all, but may have kidnapped her. My memory is erratic, I may be mixing two plots.
