Hi Emily welcome to the group. Many of us here really enjoyed Night Play as well. I repeat and swear to reading it as soon as I bought it. Not sure why either but it really is a favorited of mine after reading the whole story. Prior to that Vane wasn't a top fave of mine. Still isn't several books after his. But great story nonetheless.

Hello, it's Punya. I've only read Ms. Kenyon's books under Kinley MacGregor and loved them. My favorites were Born in Sin, Master of Desire, Taming the Scotsman, A Dark Champion and most definitely Sword of Darkness, Knight of Darkness. In fact, I loved "Lords of Avalon" so much, can't believe I have to wait for such a long time for the next book. :( Even for the Brotherhood books. So many things are unresolved by the end and so many interesting characters I wanna know more and more about. *sigh*

Hi Stacy, welcome to the group. I have all my DH books all over my room in whatever capacity that will hold them. And I too have been a DH fan since way back. So know where you are coming from for sure. The conversion process is still a slow work in process though as many folks around me don't read. But if I knew more I would definitely be converting them as well.

Thank you. I'm a sucker for Highlander/Scottish heroes and SK/KM did a great job on them. I love her writing style and her sense of humor. The heroes are generally yummy, heroines are smart and strong. What's not to love about them! Also, I've never read a Fantasy genre before KM's LoA series. Adored it. :D

Hi all! I'm Athena... I started reading the series this past week and I have been flying through them. I am about half way through Alexion's book Sins of the Night.

I am trying to finish prior to Retribution's release at the beginning of next month!

As I mentioned in my status update earlier, I am a bit upset that I hadn't started reading this series years ago... it is superb and there have only been few "wtf" moments!

Dhfan, I think my biggest WTF moment thus far was the end of Val's book. (view spoiler)["You can live. And you can be immortal! But you, no, you get to be a DH and your mom is staying dead. Oh yea, and so is your sister." (hide spoiler)] Second to that is how everyone falls in love so fast... but I suppose that's how it works in Romance-esq novels. Thirdly, WHY HASN'T SHE WRITTEN OF SIMI BBQ'ING SOMEONE YET???? I can't wait...

Haha, well there is something particularly special about Amanda and Kyrian's daughter. So no doubt Ash would want her to be protected at all times by adults she knows. And therefore not taken and corrupted when he can't be there to protect her.

Nick's case was sort of unique as he committed suicide for one. Sleeping with Simi and pissing Ash off (rather significant character when you get to his book) is just sooooooooooo not a good idea. And so Artie although I'm not her biggest fan had to do what she had to do to get out of the hot water some how. Again can't say too much about the sister part right now without ruining it for you. But yea she kind of had to stay dead.

The fast love part of things I just see that as the general vibe of romance books in general. As the love and feelings aspect is central part of the story. Just like the build up and suspense is for mystery stories and such. So yea kind of the vibe of the genre I believe.

Simi kicks some butt soon enough. And well there is BBQ but its kind of ew but practical at the same time lol.

But yea overall I do agree some of that is all rather WTF indeed. But most other stuff gets cleared up later on in other books. Til you hit Dream Warrior and it is WTF all over again lol.

Ah, I basically read that one for info purposes. I didn't particularly like the whole senator daughter's angle. Likely as I'm not a fan of politics(even in the most minimal of references) in my story. Along with the fact that I liked Wren more as a side allyish character that had a bit of mystery to him. But his story although was some what interesting, it wasn't one I was geeked up for.

Hi everyone. My name is Heather and I have just recently found the Dark Hunter series. Fantasy Lover sat in my "to be read" pile for about 6 months. Since picking it up, it has taken me 6 weeks to get to Unleash the Night! Didn't think that anything could hold my attention like the Black Dagger Brotherhood, but I was wrong! Valerius is by far my favorite, followed closely by Kyrian. Glad to be here!

Gasp! DH rocks everyone's socks off. :P BDB me thinks is a bit of an acquired taste as most aren't big fans of the slang usage so much. Even though I didn't mind it. And in general nice to see some vamps like something other than goth and metal. No offense to folks that like that music in general. But I never got the connection between fangs and metal. So diversity is good. And yep I did read and eventually grew to like BDB, but had to grow on me a bit. Still can't stand Wrath though, haha.

i started reading archerons book and fangs and i got hooked. once i started i had to collect and read the whole lot and i had to wait months for no mercy but hen i picked it up and read it i remebered my passion for her books and wanted to read dark hunter series aain but just decided to finally take the plung and spend little more on nicks story and found it fasinating, i think ambrose is nick from the future or am i wronge it just when they talking in th back of a car ambrose strokes her hair and you can read somethings there......whatdo you think.......
