I hate that I thought the group Warriors Lovers was about the 70's movie

Kind of a cult movie about New York street gangs.

There is a running comment by a DJ (think Do the Right Thing) that adds a surreal tone.

Sort of a thin plot, the NYC gangs outnumber the police and they are going to war after a prominent gang leader is killed.

Lots of footage of New York, especially Coney Island.

Since it was a cult movie (based on a book) I thought, "Wow! There are people that into it to start a group?".

Then I looked at the page and realized it was about a young adult book series.

Again, feeling silly.

Given that it is about cats I probably would have read them when I was young.

I used to list "Cat" as what I wanted to grow up to be and had a whole rationale for how it was possible, how I could still earn a living, have a relationship...

The feeling was more one of those when you wave to someone you think you know and realize they are a complete stranger.

Did you understand that being an orphan meant your parents were dead?

Oooh! I went through an orphan phase too!

I read a great deal of fairy tales and loved Pippi Longstocking.

I wanted to join the Starfleet.

Crapazola. I just squealed in print.

The orphan fantasy for me was a total one; different parents, different country, different background altogether.

So no harm, no foul to my parents.

I would want to be a science officer.

I have a tricorder that lights up and makes the cool tricorder noise.

Sometimes I aim it at the cat and she haaates it, it has little cat tooth and claw marks all over it.

Oh dear, it wasn't Harriet the Spy. For me it was Bond. James Bond. I was mesmerized, I saw them pretty young on the big screen. From Bambi straight to early Bond!
