or I should be writing. I WANT TO FINISH ROSES FOR JUNE!!!

I'm not close to finishing anything, so I probably won't before NANOWRIMO...unless Star Soul is going to end up to be a "novella" type thing instead of a book. Then I might come close to finishing it...

I can't wait for november!!! XD

And OMG I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN!! I never have time to write, and when I do it's not a lot- with homework and dance three times a week and babysitting two times a week and ARGH!! D: plus sometimes i'm on here when I could be writing. :(

lol. that's kind of the problem i'm having w/Reborn right now. i KNOW everything that's going to happen. i just don't feel like writing it. maybe cuz i'm afraid it will be stupid. but oh well; i'll do my best. XD

EXACTLY! it's like i'm letting go of my characters ... and i'll never get to see them again. and it's so sad! it's so hard for me to move on and let myself get attached to new characters. lol.
of course it's especially hard when you kill ppl off at the end ... :-/

Hmmm ... I wouldn't understand your pain. I killed a character at the end of one of my books, but I was actually happy he died...
I've never killed off a character that I got attached to.

okay. well i've only killed one character who i was really attached too. and i cried. and felt depressed for the rest of the day. i hope i never have to do it again.

I originally had killed off a character, but decided he should stay, but I wanted to get rid of the character, so I just kind of came up with an excuse to get rid of them.

well...I sorta kill off any character I get attached to. I cry quite a bit afterwards, but looking back there are no cases where it was necessary. It made it a better story, but I could've gone without killing them.

the only characters i've killed off are the bad ones...except once, in moon rise, with brigid. that was sad. XD

yeah, and i hate endings. i feel so sad after, because i've ended it and it's over...it's just like when I'm reading a book. During the time that you are reading or writing it, you want to get to the end, but then once you've reached the end, you wish you hadn't and wish you were still reading or writing the book. :'(

I get so attached to characters and stories and then once they're over, I feel like crying.

gah why'd i have to kill him? i still can't get it off my conscience!!! and yeah of course there was the end of moon rise, which was also sad ... but i wasn't really attached to Anita. david, on the other hand, i was REALLY attached to for some reason. and then of course i had no choice but to kill him. life is so unfair that way. XD

and you're right, I didn't get attached to Anita that much. Maybe it's because she got on my nerves when she went evil. XD

aaaagh. u do not want to read david's death scene. it was awful. i hate it. i like flinch every time i read it -- not that it's horribly written or anything, but it's just so ... agonizing. ugh. :(

ummm it was sorta complicated ...
eva had to battle the queen of the soul stealers and all, sooo then at some point she was about to get killed and he kinda tried to protect her and ... well ... died. -wince-

I have to admit, it's not as bad as SOME of my characters' deaths. *Cari glaring angrily at me*.

I wonder if they have a separate heaven or whatever for characters. Or maybe everyone on Earth is just a character. Good lord, I need to write this under theories!

hmmm. that is an interesting question! maybe all of our dead characters are in some happy dead-character place and hang out together! wheeee! we could have like a chat room for them. lol. XD

Hmm, I killed of a character once, and she wasn't even really dead and it was absolutly nessicary or else she couldn't have become the grim reaper. It was depressing. That story was agonizing to write, in a way. I'm glad I started it and finished it, but it was just sitting there until one day I decided to finish it.

Honestly I can't even imagine what it will feel like when I get to the end of Roses for June. I might even cry, even though it's a good ending. Nobody will die!!! I swear by it!!! But, just that feeling of finishing something that you have been working on for a while... it's so powerful, even with a short story.

yeah, and I just sort of broke my promise. Because of four lines and a relization, somebody will have to die, and the ending won't be as happy as I had thought. I mean, it will be bittersweet, ending in New York.

... i just cried while i was writing the end of Reborn cuz ... well it's complicated and i don't wanna give it away but i sorta semi-killed a character and uhhh well never mind. i can't explain it very well. XD

i know exactly what you're talking about, coz i read it...and yeah i was sad at the end or reborn too. :( partly because of the semi-killing of the character, and partly coz its over. :(

ditto. I think the best way to explain it is to look at what happens to harry at the end of hp7. I mean, the only difference is where he went for that short time.

OMG I JUST REALIZED THAT YOUR CHARACTER HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE A CHARACTER FOR MY NANOWRIMO STORY BECAUSE HE DIED AND CAME BACK TO LIFE!!! but of course, he's your character, not mine. And he's an immortal, and all of my characters are human.

But he does have the potential, because by my story's rules, his soul was split, sort of. I can't really explain it without fully explaining.
