What are you reading right now? 2010-2011
I'm reading Legend (Drenai Tales, #1). This is a relatively old book, published in 1984, but still surprisingly enjoyable. I expected something drab and boring, but this is very enlightening. I just finished Outcast by Michelle Paver and A Great and Terrible Beauty. Both were excellent books. Some books that I am waiting to read on my shelf: Ghost Hunter, Eragon,John Adams, Infinity, The Book Thief, and Old Yeller. Lots of books!!

I liked the book. I can't wait to read Don't Hex With Texas.
I just finished Belle: A Retelling of "Beauty and the Beast" by Cameron Dokey, Legend (Drenai Tales, #1) by David Gemmell, and A Soft Place to Land by Susan Rebecca White. I'm currently reading Ship Breaker after meeting the author a few weeks ago. I hope after finishing Ship Breaker to read Eragon or The Icebound Land.
I've never posted anything besides an introduction and my million pages posts so I thought I'd get into posting a little more since I'm part of the group anyway :)Currently reading:
A first-reads giveaway book. I've just started it so I wouldn't be able to tell you how it is yet, haha.
This book I bought when I was a young teenager and it was just one of those books I started and then put down and got distracted with other books. However, I started reading it again and everything rushed back to me. Its reaaally good, I can't wait to finish.
Lent to me by a friend. I'm not a romance fan in the least, but it seems a little interesting, at least enough to keep reading. The characters are annoying but I'm going to give a try.
I absolutely love this book so far. I'm only about 300 pages in but its wonderful. Its taking me a terribly long time to get through but I'm hoping it will be a great read all the way through.
@Jen - Beyond the Highland Mist is one of the weaker ones in the series, while I liked them, that and book 2 were only ok...book 3 and on got subsequently better - books 4, 5 and 6 were my favorite...and then rolling into the fever seriesJen wrote: "I've never posted anything besides an introduction and my million pages posts so I thought I'd get into posting a little more since I'm part of the group anyway :)

I think that's what's going to essentially get me to reading the other books. I certainly hope it gets better. As I said before, I'm not a romance book fan, and I was getting pretty frustrated with the characters.
unless you are a total read in series type person (i'm not) - i'd say put it down and get book 3 or 4...and go from there, you can go back and read 1 and 2 later on maybe
Usually, I am. But I think I might just do that. I actually finished it (the first one) but I'll probably skip 2 and maybe go back later if I have the patience (if only to get a few more pages in).

I'm reading Delirium by Lauren Oliver,
and it is amazing! I have it in Advance Reader's Copy right now, but I totally recommend it to anyone who loves a good futuristic story, like the Hunger Games!
I finished The Girl Who Played with Fire now I am really delving into Outlander and in the middle of City of Glass. I think I will start Jane Eyre as my at work and on-the-go book.
Cutting my currently reads in half. I will focus on City of Glass and Dorris Bridge. My Kindle read will be Wicked. I am having a really hard time getting all these books read; maybe this new arrangement will help :)

★Meghan★ wrote: "I finished The Girl Who Played with Fire now I am really delving into Outlander and in the middle of City of Glass. I think I will start [book:Jane Eyre|..."That's such a weird coincidence- I've been thinking of reading Jane Eyre too, mainly because it's been sitting on my bookshelf for a couple of years, so I kind of started it a little bit. It's surprising- I actually seem to like it, but otherwise, I try to stay away from classics as much as I can. :)

I don't normally read classics, but even though Dracula was kind of slow it was also really good.
of all the classics i've read in the last year (which isn't many) - Jane Eyre is my favorite...Wuthering Heights the least

We could read a few chapters every few days.

Reading Angel by James Patterson. I got it in an ARC copy just a few days ago. A little bit cheezy, and a little bit scrambled- maybe a 2 or 3 out of 5.
- 2 mysteries and some smut ;) not sure what i'm going to start listening to next - I have a Christopher Moore lined up for Feb (but I can't start it until the first) - I think I have a shortish mystery that I might listen to tomorrow
I am currently reading
(this book is not going to fast for me),
(reading the about the author and book before the BR starts), and I think I will start either
or
here soon.
Meghan - were are you out in Outlander? When I read it the first time, the first third was really slow going but when they got to Leoch, it got better
I am at about pg 150 out of 784...haha I have been trying to read it for about a month now too...it is starting to get a little bit better.
your at the part I really struggled with the first time I read it - it does get better (i would never lead you wrong)...when I start struggling, I try to do a chapter a night, or something like that★Meghan★ wrote: "I am at about pg 150 out of 784...haha I have been trying to read it for about a month now too...it is starting to get a little bit better."
