SOLVED. young detective series possibly with the name jamie [s]

The book I am trying to remember was a series I read in middle school that I loved. I don't remember much except that the main character was a young detective and her name may have been Jamie. I remember her being described as having auburn hair. There was one book where either her or her mom was kidnapped. I hope someone can help!

Could it have been Janie? There was a series by Zilpha Keatley Snyder that might fit:
Janie's Private Eyes, The Famous Stanley Kidnapping Case, & The Headless Cupid are 3 of the 4... I can't remember the 4th one right now. She does have dark hair and there is one about kidnapping.
