A Truth Universally Acknowledged: 33 Great Writers on Why We Read Jane Austen
This is very depressing for me. I have started at least another dozen books this year, but I have only FINISHED these 12 to date. In order to reach 50, I need to step this up, or go back and finish some of the books I started. Now, what were they? Since I got them at the library, I don't have a record of the titles. Maybe they are still in my "to read" folder.
Here are a couple more - now up to 15.Dragon and Thief
Agatha Raisin and the Terrible Tourist
A Monstrous Regiment of Women

From my own home computer I can request books from other local libraries and have them delivered to mine. Then I receive an email that it is in and I go pick it up. Also my library keeps a list of books I have checked out and when. So I can go on-line and look at the list of books I've already read. If your library has something similar, it might help you find the books you started and didn't get to finish. Good Luck.

So, I am still trying to figure out what I read.
Somewhere Inside: One Sister's Captivity in North Korea and the Other's Fight to Bring Her Home
Jane In Bloom
Both books about sisters and their love for each other helping them cope with difficult situations.
22 books by June 21. Not too bad since I started this 50 Books in 2010 challenge in May! I still think there are books I have read that I don't have on the list. Have to go back and see what I can find....
Great Call of China
Seriously better than expected. I will recommend to YA lovers of travel fiction.
Halfway to my 50 books on June 25. Should not be a problem to reach this goal by the end of the year. I will be excited to see what the number actually ends up being. Next year I will definitely increase the goal.
Unfinished Business: One Man's Extraordinary Year of Trying to Do the Right Things
Life changing!! What a fantastic book for someone my age who is seeking more meaning in their life.
40. Pride and Prejudice
Yes, I have read this before. Yes, I have read it several times before. But, it is a book and I read it again, so I am counting it. Is this within the 50 books rules? I hope so.

Barbara, we make up our own rules as we go along...some people do count a re-read, some don't, some count e-books, some don't, some count YA (Young Adult), children's or short books, and again, some don't...some people even make up their own challenges within this 50-book-a-year one, like a different author for each of the states, or at least half of the 50 to be 'classics', or half to be NF (non-fiction)...I think the point is to get us to be reading more, no matter what it is...I forgot to mention the plays, short story anthologies, and I imagine magazine, newspaper, and electronic articles (although I haven't seen anyone counting these, I think perhaps they do get read).
I know for myself that I have been a more voluminous reader since joining GoodReads, with more attention to WHAT I'm reading, not only to How Much I'm reading. My attention has been drawn to things that I would not ordinarily even consider looking at, and that is largely in part to be able to read reviews of the book titles that interest me. That really saves time. Also, I've been more guilt-free of letting a book go if it doesn't keep my interest, something I would never do before.
