Jessica (JessfromTex) | 118 comments Ummm it depends. I don't want to recommend a book that would get you in trouble with your parents, but I think it would be okay. It talks a little about sex, but there are no graphic scenes on that topic. It is pretty violent though (brains being smashed out of skulls.... yeah) but I think if you are a mature 15-year-old you should be okay. It is such a great series!!

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) I've also heard that the SECRETS OF THE IMMORTAL NICHOLAS FLAMEL series has zero romance in it.

message 58: by Ayunda (new)

Ayunda (ayundabs) yes, I would recommend that. And Percy Jackson, and Artemis Fowl. But I guess you guys have mention those...
What about the Septimus Heap series? I've never read those but I think it's great.

*Mrs. Brightside* Where the Light is by Kimberlee Michelle
Thirst No.1 and 2 (if you can) by Christopher Pike
Need by Carrie Jones
and much more that I cant think of right know!

this list is supposed to be little romance and I know that Need doesn't fit that description.

Septimus Heap is great- and no romance (at least not as the forefront. theres some side-romances that are irrelevant to the story. lolz)

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) I really need to read those!

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Yes, you do. Of course, I'm still behind most who have read the series cause I'm broke and can't get the 5th one- and my library doesnt have it. (Of course, I'm not gonna buy the 5th one and not the others- that just seems kinda stupid. lolz)

message 65: by Ayunda (new)

Ayunda (ayundabs) hehe. I have the ebook, do you want it?

message 66: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Nope! Cause When I was at my county library yesterday (but i normally go to my city one), they had it! yay me! hahaa

Peter and the Starcatchers is a really good series. A favorite of mine. And the little romance there is, is just cute and fun to read. :)

Inkheart is another one. The romance doesn't really come till later.

OH. One of my favorite series, Mister Monday The Keys to the Kingdom. Love. These. Books. So. Much.

Aaand, yeah. That's all I can think of at the moment.

Mandie | 355 comments I would recommend the Darkest Powers series and Firespell. I'm not sure if Firespell is the right sort of thing though.

That's always my issue. Not just paranormal, but most YA, books have too much romance. That's why I like Tamora Pierce. Some of her books are pretty romantic, but the majority aren't, and what's there isn't the main plot and it doesn't get in the way.

Since I get most of my books from the town library, which doesn't have an MG section, I'm stuck with sifting through the endless shelves of YA for a good book without too much romance (or without any, which is even better, but even harder)

David jones | 8 comments Ok, so I recommend cirque du freak which has a little side romance in it, demonata, which had little to no romance in it. Vladimir Tod, which is only teen side romance, and even the book called the thin executioner which has no romance in it. The first two are by Darren Shan.
The third is by heather brewer
and the fourth is also by darren shan.
