For anyone interested in travel/history, I just found this match. I own the first one and have been dying to read it. Then, I stumbled upon the second.
A Sense of the World: How a Blind Man Became History's Greatest Traveler by Jason Roberts
and
The Landscape of History: How Historians Map the Past by John Lewis Gaddis
I was going to do Aphrodite by Isabel Allende and Pierre Firminger Louys but saw the notes on subtitles and realized they won't work. So, would Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin and The Winter's Tale by Shakespeare work? Or if not I'll do The Painted Veil by W. Somerset Maugham and The Painted Veil by Susan Carroll (love Maugham but not crazy about the other one).

.I saw it at my library the other day.
I was looking to fill a different gap, and found these two:
and
, same titles in two very different genres. I think I may use them for this challenge.

For this book I will accept Dr. for Doctor if the copy you read has Doctor.
I know it's a bit late to ask now, but does a question mark make it a different title - I can't find a link, but today in the bookshop I saw Good Wives? (Can't remember the author now). Thought I might have time to read that and Good Wives by Louisa May Alcott if that's allowed?

I suspect Cynthia would say no.

Ok I'll leave it then, Thanks.
HOLY WHOA!!! Found this by accident!! For someone who needs to speed through re-reads of two classics, here's a pair that have the SAME cover. I suspect Goodreads hasn't uploaded these versions yet.Persuasion & Jane Eyre -- EXACT same photo.

What about Doctor Faustus and Doctor Faustus? Some editions of the latter are titled "Dr. Faustus" while others are titled "Doctor Faustus". The edition I have is "Doctor" but the most common edition on Goodreads is "Dr.".
