Alycia | 1478 comments Cheryl wrote: "Alycia- sounds hot! (the story and the weather!)"

LOL Cheryl! Yes both are hot. I can enjoy the book more than the weather. Although it hasn't been too bad here overall this summer. It will stay hot till the end of october, that's what usually happens.

message 383: by Robin (new)

Robin | 361 comments I've finished three more books. The first one is Secrets of a Summer Night (Wallflowers, #1) by Lisa Kleypas and it counts because the title contains the word Summer and It Happened One Autumn (Wallflowers, #2) by Lisa Kleypas which has a word in the title that starts with the same two letters as August. The third book is Devil in Winter (Wallflowers, #3) by Lisa Kleypas which has a scene in which Evie and Sebastian share a peach (pg. 115 in the copy I have) which is a fruit most readily available in the Summer so I'm now at 11\12

message 384: by Alycia (new)

Alycia | 1478 comments I love that series Robin! :)

message 385: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (ghemomma) | 900 comments Robin I can't believe you are just now reading this series! It's one of my all-time favorite series!! Make sure you read A Wallflower Christmas by Lisa Kleypas after you read the fourth book!

Alycia- it stays hot here until October also, but our temps have not been in the 100's yet, only the heat index!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments How as Renegade, Dina? I have it... haven't read it yet.

message 388: by Dina (new)

Dina (missdina) | 718 comments It was an OK (3 stars) read, UM. Tanner and Mia were likable and their love scenes were hot (of course, LOL), but they spent too much time thinking about the past and that dragged the story until they decided to move on.

message 389: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I wonder if it's a nationwide trend because we only had a few 100+ days and it's been mid 90's since. Oh, I'm in the high desert, So Cal.

I think it must be... It seems to be about the same temp all over the US these days, except for the far north and far south of course.

message 393: by Alycia (new)

Alycia | 1478 comments I think so too Dhes and Cheryl. This is a lot better weather than most summers for me.

message 394: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Lord help us, I hope that doesn't mean it's going to be a longer summer.

message 395: by Alycia (new)

Alycia | 1478 comments True. I hope the rest of summer isn't unbearable!

message 396: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Me either! I wonder how this will effect the winter. We had snow 3 years in a row, and the summers were miserable. This year we had tons of rain and the summer isn't as bad. Wonder what next winter will be like for us.

message 397: by Alycia (new)

Alycia | 1478 comments I was wondering if it would be harsh this winter. We haven't had it too bad, but snow quite a few times with a lot of accumulation last winter and we usually just get ice.

message 398: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Well, we'll see. I love living in the high desert as opposed to the Inland Empire area where we used to live. Here we actually get seasons, and we're only about an hour away from where we used to live. But "down the hill" we never got snow, ever! Leaves never "turned", flowers always in bloom. I actually love the look of trees that have gone dormant and the vibrant colors of the leaves as the season's change.

message 399: by Alycia (new)

Alycia | 1478 comments So interesting Dhes. I imagine it gets really cold there as well in the desert.

message 400: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)
