10/12 done10. Simply Sexual- one hot and steamy story just like hot and steamy summers, I read this book yesterday and today while the temperature was 104 degrees
Round 3Duration: June 1st - August 31st
Completed: 2/12 books
1. What She Wants at Midnight by Kimberly Dean - 7/31 (3*); takes place during summer
2. Lucan by Susan Kearney - 8/2 (3*); published in August
Cheryl wrote: "Alycia- sounds hot! (the story and the weather!)"LOL Cheryl! Yes both are hot. I can enjoy the book more than the weather. Although it hasn't been too bad here overall this summer. It will stay hot till the end of october, that's what usually happens.
I've finished three more books. The first one is
and it counts because the title contains the word Summer and
which has a word in the title that starts with the same two letters as August. The third book is
which has a scene in which Evie and Sebastian share a peach (pg. 115 in the copy I have) which is a fruit most readily available in the Summer so I'm now at 11\12
Robin I can't believe you are just now reading this series! It's one of my all-time favorite series!! Make sure you read
after you read the fourth book!Alycia- it stays hot here until October also, but our temps have not been in the 100's yet, only the heat index!
All Things Summer Reading ChallengeDuration: June 1 - August 31
ROUND 3 - 1/4 completed
1. Summer/2010 release: The Renegade by Rhonda Nelson == 08/03
2. Word 'summer' in the title: The Summer of You by Kate Noble
3. Word 'hot' in the title: Hot in Here by Sophie Renwick
4. Summer/2010 release: Into the Crossfire by Lisa Marie Rice
It was an OK (3 stars) read, UM. Tanner and Mia were likable and their love scenes were hot (of course, LOL), but they spent too much time thinking about the past and that dragged the story until they decided to move on.
Cheryl wrote: "Robin I can't believe you are just now reading this series! It's one of my all-time favorite series!! Make sure you read
after you read the fourth book!..."I believe it since you are in Georgia. That's good that you haven't actually hit 100's yet!

I wonder if it's a nationwide trend because we only had a few 100+ days and it's been mid 90's since. Oh, I'm in the high desert, So Cal.
UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "I wonder if it's a nationwide trend because we only had a few 100+ days and it's been mid 90's since. Oh, I'm in the high desert, So Cal."I think it must be... It seems to be about the same temp all over the US these days, except for the far north and far south of course.
Me either! I wonder how this will effect the winter. We had snow 3 years in a row, and the summers were miserable. This year we had tons of rain and the summer isn't as bad. Wonder what next winter will be like for us.
I was wondering if it would be harsh this winter. We haven't had it too bad, but snow quite a few times with a lot of accumulation last winter and we usually just get ice.
Well, we'll see. I love living in the high desert as opposed to the Inland Empire area where we used to live. Here we actually get seasons, and we're only about an hour away from where we used to live. But "down the hill" we never got snow, ever! Leaves never "turned", flowers always in bloom. I actually love the look of trees that have gone dormant and the vibrant colors of the leaves as the season's change.
